low quality , flimsy – brought this at Big W last week on 15/1/23, unpacked at home , unit very flimsy, doubt if it hold the weight as specified. a lot of breaking stresses forces on the plastic leg frame brackets, very bendy. should have got the other brand. Relative has this one and it is good , unsure which brand but regret buying this as quality and strength is not there Show details

Very innovative re the pull out ends – Purchased this airer today 3/1/22, unpacked it but found that if you moved it forward or back one or other of the legs folded inwards and the airer collapsed. I used a length of curtain rod and clip in rod ends between the legs to prevent the legs from. collapsing, the rod ends are secured with small cable ties. The airer is now quite stable.

Good airer – Had this airer for 5 years and will be replacing it. With what - I am not sure yet. 1) Main section lines are tubes rather than rods. Thus they are wider which probably helps in the drying time as the two garment halves are spaced apart. Pegs will also have more grip. 2) Sock holders --> absolutely practical. Will never go with an airer without… Read more

them. 3) Extension lines are a bit hmhm. The idea is good of them being retractable instead of foldable like with many other airers. The thing is that when extending/retracting they can lock up. So it is a bit of a fiddle at times. 4) Legs: They provide a very stable platform. I have never had the airer blown over or tilt. Compared to other airers with X legs, I would say this airer is more stable. But....the legs are not locked in --> if you have kids who would be leaning or pushing the airer --> it will collapse more readily. 5) Durability: I'd say that the airer will last you about 3-5 years - depending on the exposure to the elements. My airer was always on a north facing balcony --> lots of sun --> harsh conditions for the coating. The coating started to be compromised after about 3 or so years. When the coating goes - the rust will come. The centre section is better than the extension section. The extension line surface has the problem that when you extend/retract them, the lines will rub with the inside tubing of the main section --> wears down the coating over time.

What I then did to extend the life of my airer was to apply spray paint on them. But that only lasts for a few months.

I will now be replacing this airer - either with a different type or with the same.

I had a 'stainless' steel airer before --> also starts rusting after a few years as stainless steel is not = stainless steel. There are different grades and you can bet that on an airer they use the lower grade one.

If I cannot find anything which convinces me that it is overall better than this one - I will get this one again with following considerations in mind:

1) When buying this airer - I am buying it with the knowledge that it has a limited life span of about 4-5 years. 2) When not in use --> store it in a shady area so to reduce the damaging exposure to the harsh sun and hopefully extend the life span 3) Maybe pre-emptively apply a new coat of paint after say 2 years.

Sorry for the waffle about a $50 airer. It is lockdown and I obviously had some time on my hands.

Not sturdy enough – Legs are wobbly and don't lock to prevent collapsing .. A slight bump and I'm picking up my wet washing up off the floor I expected a bit more value from a $50 airer waste of $$ Show details

It’s ok, not high enough to hang shirts on hangers – It’s got plenty of room but you can’t hang shirts or jumpers that are on hangers on it. The little slot parts for socks and underwear is great but We will have to sell and buy another type.  Show details

So unstable – The legs do not pop in place so they move around, I had tea towels airing not drying on it and it was so unstable and with two small children running around it is not even worth bribing it out, I bought it a 5 days ago and have only used it twice to air items that were almost dry and I am now going to get rid of it because it fell on my two year old today. WASTE OF MONEY!! $45 would have been better spent on a lego for the kids. Show details

Sturdy top wobbly legs – I bought this considering it had 15kg wet wash loading capacity , 21metre working space, it can be extended on both sides and like the space between each rods. The down side is the legs are wobbly and no lock system in place . One has to make sure the legs are extended at the farthest level to keep its stability . I expected a bit more value from a $50 airer Show details

Good top. Faulty legs – I have small kids and if they lean against it it falls down. Dangerous when little kids are around. If you lift it with washing the legs can fall over! Show details

Fantastic !.. But – Hi, sorry firstly I would like to say that I was so looking forward to buying this airer. Yes it hold a couple of loads of washing. Love the socks / underwear holder , shoe holder. Best one that I have come across . BUT it’s biggest downfall is as follows . I am a mum of 5 young children so the airer is full all the time, I use it a lot . If you… Read more

need to move the airer say from your alfresco/ garden to inside your house or even from room to room when it is full of clothes the legs collapse as you move it. You need 2 people to hold each side in order for it not to collapse. Most of the time it is one parent doing this job at a time. The legs are just not sturdy or strong enough to move it when it is full of clothes. I wish Ezy Airer could ( please ) fix this problem as it is a fantastic airer in every other regard . Thanks

Best sturdy clothes airer – I brought this Ezy Airer to replace my other two 'fold out' airer's as they were getting old, the protective paint coming off, starting to rust and overtime it was getting a bit bent in the middle (where you hang the clothes). The Ezy Airer is by far the best clothes airer that I have ever owned - this trumps my other two. Folds out very… Read more

easily, it's sturdy, has the capacity to hang a full load of my washing, both sides can extend for more room to hang your garments and linen, has a place to hang your socks and undergarments, for those who washes shoes - it also has spot on both ends on the legs to hang your shoes. I also like to add I've notice that my garments drys a lot quicker with the Ezy Airer, than the cheap flimsy clothes airers.

Keep in mind this is bulky and maybe a bit heavy to carry? Don't let the size or heaviness deter you.

Fantastic – I have bought many clothes airer in my time and I must say this is the best by far. All the fold out ones you buy from store aren't efficient and lasting as the hinges break. This one by far has the capacity and sturdy. It also has a section to hang socks/underwear as well as shoes to dry. Cons: It can be a bit heavy for some people to… Read more

carry in and out and also bulky. However that doesn't deter me from using it daily especially in the winter season.
