Feliway Diffuser and Spray Questions & Answers
I need something to CALM our desexed boy, he MEOWS all night and its loud, he wont touch cat nip, I've even bought the expensive stuff from the USA, but he wont go near it or eat his food if i spray cat nip near it. I need help, he's worse than having a new born baby in the house.
Did not find the Feliway Spray worked. Tomcats are supposed to quieten right down after desexing. I'd go and see a different vet - it sounds like he might be in pain, or they may have said he was desexed - but he isn't!
Any experience with using feliway to stop a recently adopted 16 yo cat chasing our 16 yo dog? The dog is not provoking anything
just wondering what the ingredient/chemicals are in the diffusers? as we have an assortment of allergies in the house?
How can the spray be used for both differing them from spraying/or scratching from a place and also using it to relaxing them?
My diffuser is quite warm to touch and I can smell it, the smell is quite strong. Is this normal?
They do get warm, but nothing that I would consider dangerous and I've certainly never felt worried that it could start a fire or anything. There is a slight smell, but I wouldn't describe that as quite strong. Maybe you bought a faulty one? When I bought the generic diffuser, I wasn't as happy with that, but only because it used the product faster when I did comparisons. Perhaps send yours back?
Thank you
what is the smell? a bit of a worry that it is so strong for an human?
Yep they do get warm, I haven't noticed any smell if there is a smell the partner and I haven't noticed it and I have a sensitive nose.
How long does a refill last?
The refill bottles are exactly the same size as the original one, so they'll last as long as the original purchase. They just don't include the plug so they're cheaper. You simply unscrew the empty one (there's always a bit left so I hack into the container with a set of scissors and shake the remaining drops onto the rug) and then you screw the new one in. I think Feliway claim that a bottle lasts a month but mine never last that long. It's kind of hard to know exactly, but I guess I'm changing mine more like after 3 weeks.
