baskets completely different design from previous model we had, and leave cutlery dirty. Now have an issue with the bottom drawer not closing (no obstacles just a fault) and having to reset to get through a cycle, now not using bottom drawer which we could get repaired but won't bother. This dishwasher is not a patch on the previous F&P one-drawer we had. Extremely disappointed after three years of struggle time to replace with a more efficient and better designed dishwasher of a different brand.

Love this dishwasher!!! – This is the best dishwasher ever! I love that I can have one half loaded and while its washing I can keep loading the other drawer. I don't have to wait for the dishwasher to finish and be unpacked before I can start packing it again. Washes great, drys great. I love the section for the rinse aid with the light telling me when it needs refilling. Show details

No complaints – This is a terrific dishwasher. It is easy to use and perfect for a small household (like mine) or a larger one. Dishes are pristine clean every time and they come out nice and dry. Very happy. Show details

F&P customer service reaches new low – Ordered new F&P dishdrawer. Delivered with damage on front panel. Waited two weeks for technician to show up and fix damaged panel. Technician arrived with incorrect parts. Waited another two weeks for correct parts to be ordered by F&P and then had to rebook another appointment only to be told it would be another two weeks to get the repair… Read more

DISHDRAWER – Performance was great and quite as with all dishwashers you should rinse the dishes before hand. Cleaning is simple enough what doesn't go down the drain is easy to remove. I purchased my one 10 years ago installed it myself never had a problem. Thank GOD I never used there technicians. Show details

Dishwasher – If I was buying a dishwasher I would buy a Fisher and paykel one that had lots of room to fit the dishes in and also I would pick one that had a 5 star rating and I will also look at what different ones they have in this brand. Reliable and convenient – The double drawer is perfect for my two person household. While one is washing you can fill the other. Good thorough clean. Only issue is that one of the drawers can randomly repeatedly beep - perhaps think it's because the drawer isnt tightly sealed when closed. Quiet dish washer – This is a very quiet dishwasher that inconspicuously runs. It is elegant , washes and dries the dishes well. specifications claim up to 29 cm. This is a misleading claim.

The spacings of the two racks are not coordinated, the plates do not sit neatly beside each other.

The dinner plates and the bread and butter plates (19 cm) will not fit side by side so you have to interleave them. The interleaving is erratic.This reduces the number of place settings.

Additionally, our 27 cm plates cannot be centred in the rack because the top rack (in the closed position) pushes them out of alignment. Compared with the previous model this rack sits further out from the wall and is made of thicker material. 10-15 mm is wasted each side.

The tines of the rack at the back are too low.

We are puzzled as to why the high tines have been placed at the front, not at the back, where the dinner plates are placed. The dinner plates are not controlled and usually end up touching together. This contributes to the poor washing performance. We had no problems fitting them in the old model.

The bowls (17 cm) always nest tightly and rarely come out clean. We usually have to wash some of them again by hand. Again, we had no problems with the old model. To get an adequate result, we must thoroughly rinse everything before putting in the machine, although the user guide never mentions rinsing beforehand. This is not acceptable in a modern machine. It wastes lots of water and time.

The fast setting that takes 35 minutes will not clean lightly soiled dishes, using finish dishwasher tablets. It does not remove light grease probably because the temperature is only 45°. We rarely had to use the normal setting in our old machine because it washed most things adequately on its short cycle (55 degrees). Now we always have to use normal setting, 60 degrees and 107 minutes. This means we are now using more energy and water resources to achieve a worse result!

The tall square handle to the cutlery basket restricts the flexibility in use of the machine. If you want to place soup bowls in the adjoining rack, you have to miss some slots before one will fit. Fortunately, we kept a cutlery basket from the old model and have substituted that. Overall the capacity of the machine is reduced because of the thick plastic and hinges used in the top racks. They are also narrower than those in the older model so that many items that we used to put on the top shelf now won't fit.

The filter is very bad. It allows surprisingly large pieces of debris to get through to the well beneath it eg broken glass and nuts. Hardly a coarse filter!

It is very difficult to take out, to clean, and to put back. The filter in the old model was so easy. Slip out, slip in and it worked .

The after wash cycle fan goes on for hours. It is makes more noise that the washing process. If you open the drawer immediately the cycle finishes, the dishes are still pretty wet. Note we use Finish brand dishwasher powder or tablets. It is misleading to claim that the machine completes a normal wash in the stated time if hours of fan are still required to dry the dishes.

The only improvement over the old model is that this is much quieter during the wash..

The faults are not obvious to a buyer, and are due to a terrible redesign.

When you ring them almost the first thing they say is that they will not refund. They have heard it before,

Amazing – Amazing, quick and water saving. Really sparkling clear dishes, and really dry. Good on your back as you don’t have to bend down to get fishers in and out. Easy to fill, and arrange items. their's is cleaning, so very cynical about the how genuine these 4*-5* reviews are. Fisher&Paykel were of no use, just read out everything from the manual which we had already tried. F&P know they have a LEMON of a product in this box, and have simply stopped replying to all the negative reviews because they know they can't defend it! They also have the patent on the double draw, so no competition means they can charge what ever they like. We're just fed up with having to wash everything before putting it in the box. Even then it STILL doesn't wash properly. Only bought this box because our 20yo ASKO gave up the ghost. Would have been cheaper to buy a more reputable/reliable Miele or ASKO. Never recommend this product.

It has never once cleaned properly even on long wash – Does not do its job even on a long wash, thought buying this brand I would of gotten the best money could buy, but I’m left with a useless machine in my kitchen. It doesn’t even look good as you can’t have a kick board at the bottom, so I’m left with a gap it has spoilt my whole kitchen.  Show details

So glad we chose the double drawer – We originally were only looking at the standard dishwasher and went instore with only that in mind. Once we saw the double drawer we had to get it. We have been using it for over a month now it is quiet, our dishes are always clean and dry and the best thing if you don’t have too much to wash you only put on one drawer. Great dishwasher, would never go back to a traditional dishwasher – Fantastic cleaning ability and is ergonomic if you use the top drawer most of the time. We have a family of 4 and can easily fit our daily dishes in the top drawer. It is a very quiet dishwasher, we have had guests over and only ask what the noise is when they hear a soft beep. Favorite thing about the dishwasher is that it is quite, can fit a large quantity of dishes if they are stacked correctly and very easy to clean.  Show details

Terrible! Wouldn’t recommend! – Sick and tired of rewashing dishes after they have been through a normal wash! We rinse our plates cups ect quite well but with this dish draw we are pretty much having to put them in clean! Waste of time! Do not recommend f & p dish draws at all!! A great idea flawed by poor quality – We’ve persisted with the F&P double dish drawers despite previous quality issues. We upgraded two years ago but still find poor quality remains an issue with this product. Poor customer service is next on the list as I have contacted F&P to raise quality but their response has been poor. trouble. Shortly after, the second drawer was lost to a chicken bone. At this stage, I could pay $600 for a repairman to try to resurrect it, or $600 on a cheap new dishwasher. I've chosen to do the latter

Fantastic Value & Huge Savings on Water Bill – Love this dishwasher! Saves a fortune on our water bills. Quiet operation and very well made. Filters are a little tricky (and messy) to clean. Cleans dishes perfectly with no food residue and no need to rinse the plates first, which was a problem with our last dishwasher. I use earth friendly dish washing powder which works wonderfully well. No need to add harsh chemical dish washing products. Highly recommended!  Show details

that you can load the dishwasher with smaller loads and wash them as you go instead of waiting for a large single dishwasher to get filled, therefore it is quite efficient.

Overall it is a great product that I'd recommend to anyone.

using one drawer-both drawers can be used independently of each other. Easy to load, fits a decent amount of dishes-I was surprised I have to admit- fast cycle takes 45 mins and dishes are dry at the end and squeaky clean. Quiet. My only negative would be that you would go through your dishwasher tablets twice as fast as each drawer requires it’s own tablet. Otherwise really impressed.

Good design and easy to use – Easy to stack. Double drawer is a great feature. I use the top one almost every day and both when I have had guests for a meal. Flexible interior design means it can take larger items, too. It's fairly easy to take the inside fittings out to clean, but maybe that is a feature the designers can work on a little more. It is a shame that there is not a single draw stand alone version of this washer as we seldom use the bottom draw other then to ensure it gets some use. The real test will be it's life span and the service provided by F & P should some thing go wrong.

Came with the unit – This is a good enough product, with no messy dishes even on lowest 30 min cycle. The dishwasher that came with the sale only lasted two years, so under warranty we acquired Fisher & Paykel. Not noisy, stacks well but would have liked it to remain open a little when not in use, like the last dishwasher. Good filter etc for cleaning, only takes a few minutes.  Show details
