Good fridge, stylish, works well – My second F&P fridge, bought in between lockdowns nearly 3 years ago after I bought my new place at auction. As most whiteware were 3 months on back order, I had to get whatever was available. Fortunately this one was already within the country. While I wanted a simple 372L in white with no handle, this one had stainless steel, 402L and sleek handles, but being the same width, it would fit the space in the kitchen.
Nearly three years now, and compared to my first F&P (which lasted me 20 years until I gave it away), this one is much more energy efficient, and unlike the other one, does not make those loud noises that sound like someone was breaking into my flat. Quieter, definitely.
I was initially concerned that this fridge used a Chinese-made compressor (F&P has been owned by Haier since around 2016) instead of the Embraco compressor that my first one had. No regrets though. The fridge hasn't given any problem or grief, and although it is merely around 2" wider than smaller fridges that are around 600mm, the inside actually has very usable space - it is wider and at the same time deeper.
The interior light is perfectly bright (LED) but - my preference - I would rather it have been in warm white, instead of cold white, which feels more industrial. Design-wise, the exterior certainly looks more timeless and certainly does not look like a cheap option. These fridges are also sold in the US for nearly twice what I bought it for (heavily discounted, at Noel Leeming in Wairau Park, Glenfield). I hope this fridge is as good as the last one was.

Love the wise design ! – I have compared with other brands such as Samsung Lg and westinghouse at the same time. The reason I chose them was the actual material they used inside compartment are way better than others more sturdy. Also the design is very modern and the Matt finish brings my interior inferiority better with. Whenever I touches it I liked the handfeel so much. So far very happy with the performance too. I would purchase it again.

Worst product and customer service – Have to wait more than a month to get my faulty fridge door replaced. The technician insist to wear shoes inside my house, and his shoes are full of dirts

Great option for a family sized fridge – We purchased the fridge freezer in December 2018 and it has been great ever since. The unit is very quiet when running. The temperature is easy to set and the controls are easy to use. The fridge has 4 compartments and 2 shelves in the door meaning there is ample space to store things long with large glass shelves in the main part of the fridge. It also makes it easy to sort food and to find stuff in the fridge. The 2 bins for the fruit and vegetables are a good size and you can fit lots in them. It's very handy being able use the slider that has fruit icons on one side and vegetable icons on the other to make sure that anything you have in the bins is kept at its optimum freshness by the fridge. The freezer is also a very logical and useful layout. There are 2 bins at the top, one pastry tray and a large bin at the bottom. Our model the RF402BRPX6 has the concealed handles in the side which makes the fridge look very stylish. The build quality is of really high standard and is able to withstand family life well. Would highly recommend this fridge/freezer to anybody. Fisher and Paykel really have a winning product here.
