I would suggest you never buy one – Worse applicable I have ever bought. Just wets dishes. Have tried rinsing before. Every wash has dirty dishes. Features and controls are easy and size convenience is good. This was the result showing dirty dishes at end of wash.  Show details

Worse appliance i have ever bought – Doesn't clean well. Every load something is not clean no matter how i stack and it's never overloaded. It is quiet though but wish i hadn't bought it. I usually always buy fisher and paykel products. Tech came out and said not to use tablets nor rinse aid. Use powder but still not good.  Show details

This will be my last FP dish drawer – The 3rd in 11 years because my home came with one and it just seemed easier to replace with next FP dish drawer model rather than reconfigure my kitchen. Next time I will try the Bosch dish drawer on consistent recommendations from several repair men in the industry who say they are the best dishwashers and these are the worst. They guy who did… Read more

the change over on mine said that it was his 3rd FP dish drawer that day and all were under 3 years old.

Forget about doing plastics or more delicate items in the FP dishdrawer, eco cycles or a fast wash. Ive had this only for a month and despite filters being cleaned every couple of days it simply doesn't clean or dry unless it's on the Heavy Wash with no eco setting. Its not little spots, it's whole bowls and plates that barley look like they have even been rinsed and appears to have no assisted drying at all. My dishwasher is never over packed and always has plenty of space between items to clean. At least my last dish drawers where good till they weren't for a year or two before struggling to do a decent wash cycle and start throwing out all the other problems typical with these FP dish drawers.

Its only saving features is that this one actually does (only just) take larger dinner plates in the vertical stack on one side. This one is also the nicest looking in my kitchen but of course that means you sacrifice a digital display telling you how long it has to go or showing the time delay, you can still use those functions but you will need to keep a manual record in your head of what it is. Not really acceptable in this day and age, stainless steel good looking appliances everywhere at much lower price points have easily integrated this and from all reports seem to be more reliable.

Overpriced and average which is a shame since the idea of it is so genious. I guess FP have maintained returned customers like myself because their kitchens are modelled around having this dish drawer and they don't want the hassle of reconfiguration but now that others are bringing out dish drawers or know people with other models who get 10 years trouble free, I think their run in relying on this instead of really developing and improving their product is over. It certainly is for me - a bit of minor cabinetry adjustment will be far less hassle than buying another of these.

Not a good feeling spending this type of money only to resolve to put up with it till the warranty runs out with its replacement already picked out only a month after purchase. At least the long heavy wash seems to do the job it needs to do *sigh*

Ok to use – We upgraded our old Fisher and Paykel dishdrawer with this one in Feb. It certainly does the job, but we found sometimes it didn't clean the dishes completely as there is still some small oil stain or food let. We are not entirely happy with this product, but ok to use.  Show details

OK – I bought one for lease my apartment, OK to use. There was one time tenant complain about the timer, but it turned out to be miss use. It is not aloud and can actually clean the dishes as required. Price is also OK. There is no favorite feature to mention  Show details

Big and NO bending – Model is DD90ST12 couldn't find it on your list. I chose it because I need a big dishwasher and I can't bend down so it suits me perfectly and it is very quiet. Because it is an integrated model It doesn't have any exterior signal indicators at all. I have a remote control that turns it on but I can't tell how far gone in the cycle or when it's… Read more

finished so I would like it to have a light on the remote to show that. I don't like the filter at all there a small black mesh oblong about 2ins long which falls out when cleaning and it's a very difficult job to put back in place. A pull out drawer is a great idea.

3rd mother board – We inherited 2 of these models in a house that we let out. Within 3 months both had stopped working, after eventually getting an engineer in and eventually replace the faulty electronics (3 visits over 2 months), both machines died again within days of each over, how long did they last 4 months! Each cost to date of fixing machines = $650 with one… Read more

of the boards ($293) replaced under warranty, so expect $900 to fix again!! Cost of new machine $1000. Great product F&P.

Constantly improving – This is my third F&P dish drawer kitchen. We like to have two single drawers each at under-bench height for convenience: works really well for us. With each new model the product shows marginal improvement over the previous model and the DD60SDFX7 is the best yet. It has slightly less room than the previous model and doesn't have the little… Read more

screen in the door that shows progress through the cycle. But it does a superb job of cleaning. The glassware comes out beautifully clean, it is silent in operation. I don't want to sound like a tout for F&P and for the record, I had quality issues with earlier versions, and required a lot of service calls which were, thankfully covered by warranty, but at least their service support was good. I'm glad that I stayed with them this time.

Three years max – This is the second dish draw I've purchased in three years, brand new 1000 each both constantly brake down, first one didn't work from the start, from brand new, bloke come out replaced a part, one week later broke down , came out again got it going, 2 days later broke down again, so with a lot of effort, I got that one replaced, now 2 years on this ones rooted, never again, peice of crap.

Amendment to previous review: still not as good as previous model but better than I thought! – My old single DishDrawer got a fault in the electrics. I got a new one from David Jones in February 2014 and had problems with it but it was replaced by Fisher & Paykel and I was still dissatisfied. However, I only have room in my kitchen for a small dishwasher so had to suck it up. I left an unfavourable review but would now like to amend it… Read more ·  1

slightly.

In the first review, I noted the manufacturer recommended I use Finish dish powder. I bought Finish dishgel instead because it was on special. That bottle of dishwashing gel lasted me until about October 2014 (7 months!). I then purchased Finish Dishpowder and I've got to say, suddenly the dishwasher is washing the cups properly and they no longer have stains. I can't believe the powder can make this much difference!

The dishwasher is still not quite so good as the previous model because the cups/glasses don't stack so well. Apart from that, very pleased that it is now cleaning the cups properly without my having to bleach or scrub them after every wash!

NIL SERVICE – I am happy with the new DishDraw which was installed 17 days ago. I have made 5 calls to Fisher & Paykel to collect the old unit yet it remains on the living room floor of my very small apartment. Fisher & Paykel staff are very sorry and have all promised to call me back within 24 hours to arrange collection, yet I have had no contact with… Read more

Fisher & Paykel that I haven't instigated. I am informed delivery and collection is contracted to a transport company, however I contracted with Fisher & Paykel and they remain responsible for collection of used products, which is a service I have paid for.

I would not recommend dealing directly with Fisher & Paykel.

Purchased two of them even – Original double draw purchased in 2003. 2nd generation. Two years ago renovated kitchen and purchased two single units (4th generation) and have then sitting each side of the kitchen sink bowls. Look great. Latest generation has been improved considerably. Live them. Too marks for F&P persevering with the patent over the years. Recommended.

Does the job well – Have this for my 1BR apartment, good enough size for singles / couples. The drawer is deep, has adjustable racks that are very helpful. Cleaning job is good as well. Can be a bit noisy at times, especially in a 50sqm 1BR apartment with open plan living + kitchen. Other than that it is quite easy to use and comes with a remote control, that supposedly can stop or pause a wash halfway but that has not worked for me. Overall, does a good job.

Very happy with my machine – I chose this model as I live alone in a small unit with small kitchen. I decided to pay more for this one and I'm glad I did, as it's a reputable brand and suits me nicely. Very quiet, efficient, convenient and cleans superbly. Size is perfect for me or if I have a guest. It's been trouble free and performs brilliantly. As my first dishwasher, it… Read more ·  1

taught me the advantages. When cooking I prefer to use more dishes during prep, but before, I'd avoid that, or re-use dishes with just a rinse to reduce washing up, so it's helpful and has improved hygiene too. It washes much hotter than I could by hand, so the dishes are more sterile. It saves space by providing a place for used dishes. The choice of wash programmes is ideal and it's the quietest I've seen, too. My mother has a double drawer model and that has also been superb and completely reliable for 4 years. Happily recommended, especially for small kitchens. Performance, water & energy efficiency, quietness, space efficient design. Great features. Some programmes are slow. Child lock engages with drawer open. A little expensive.
