good unit – Same as all GPS units, they take you in some funny places sometimes, buts its normally to put you on the same side of the road as the address you punched in. Our drivers like them. work well with the reversing camera as well. nice and clear. Easy to update on PC, just plug it in and press update. done.
Don't buy it wast of money – Garmin dezl570 cost me $430 dollars last me for 13 months, contact it Garmin for repairs as is out of warranty they changed me for the assessment and repairs Do not wast your money, just buy cheap one they as good as the expensive ones I don't find it necessary
save your money – Most main route numbers in eastern ct. Come up as truck accessibility unknown. Know matter how you adjust your settings it will not send you on either the fastest or shortest route. Every time I plug in a destination I have to check it against Google maps and paper road atlas and 9 times out of 10 there is a much better route. So why spend that… Read more
kind of money on something that you have to second guess every move you make . Case and point traveling north on a main interstate knowing my next interchange (on another interstate ) knowing I need to head south it will have me get on the northbound side and get off the next exit to get back on the southbound side. Wasting 15 minutes and fuel. Costumer service/it has now answer for that. Basically this unit is just a very expensive speedometer that shows a map of where you are. Even after running the same route every over and over it will try to take you a different route every time sometimes almost an hour out of your way. SAVE YOUR MONEY and buy a map and do it yourself because this unit doesn't and won't help you navigate.
Beware of Web sites which claim to be run from Australia – I bought Garmin 560 dezl from Navi- Technology site. Unit arrives from USA with Nth American maps and an Aus\NZ SD card. This unit can not be upgraded. No support from Garmin Aus. PayPal helped me and I had to return unit to USA at my expense $62.00. I have now received a refund from PayPal.
Expensive rubbish – In truck mode it won't take me on route I can use my truck & dog on despite trying to trick it by using varying profile settings. I can not rely on it for new areas I am not familiar with. Have to resort to doing lots of homework before hand. It has road load limits of 45.5 tonne when there are no limits. I'm sure it would have me going down a… Read more
