I bought two of them.. Sadly both have a very low voice volume (on Max) compared to my much older Garmin, and TomTom. On max volume at normal road speed we struggle to hear the spoken instructions, and forget about having the radio on. The warning sounds for overspeed and other warnings are so low they may as well not be there at all. Also the latest mapping finds their road speed signs way too often are wrong, and often on roads that have had the set speed for many years, but Garmin mapping has it so wrong far too often, so often that you can not trust them at all. It is likely I will return both these units as not fit for purpose! Such a shame, I am so disappointed, I've had multiple Garmin GPS's for over 30 years!
The navigation is relatively easy to use however the big fail of this unit is the windscreen mount. I have never in the decades have used a screen mounted GPS navigator had a unit with such a poorly designed screen mount. This unit has a proclivity to detaching spontaneously from the screen, which can be annoying when it happens when you are driving. This has been a problem since day one when I took it out of the box. The screen suction cup is not very large in area and it is attached by means of a small lever which you push to suction it onto the screen. The depth of the suction cup seems too small to effect a good suction.
I know that the tendency to use mobile apps like Google Maps, Waze, etc., seems to be the trend now but for anyone who prefers an "old fashioned" screen mounted GPS navigator I would suggest avoiding Garmin units and search for something else if possible.
