Terrible product and even worse support from garmin australia – Did not work straight out of the box, would not pick up ANY satellites, contacted garmin, which told me to try a few things such as software update, reboot etc, then said that its not their problem as it is a discontinued model, even though i had a receipt and it comes with 2 years warranty. buy a brand new unit.... Luckily for me the dealer i purchased it through fought long enough with garmin and refunded me the money. Garmin support is useless. WOULD NEVER BUY ANY GARMIN PRODUCT AGAIN IF THAT IS THIER ATTITUDE!

Unreliable – My unit is now back at Garmin for screen repairs again, not 6 months and about 10 hours use after being returned to us supposedly factory refurbished. The screen now randomly goes blurry and unusable. When it was working it seemed reasonably accurate but did seem to misread the bottom and did not show structure that was definitely there.

good screen freezes or stops randomly - hence unreliable – clear and visible screen even in sunshine. easy to navigate around. Screen reverts to standard preinstalled layout screen when a drop of salt water hits it. GPS freezes unpredictably and sometimes turns off for no reason. Both require a restart. Seems to be a reluctance from supplier to address these issues.

Great Sounder- When it Works – Geat sounder, easy to navigate around, but doesn,t read the depth / bottom to well when on the plane. Have sent it back to the supplier - hopefully find out whats wrong - done everthing as per instructions and still didnt perform as expected. Should have done more homework on this. Easy to use didn,t do what I wanted it to do - that is to pick up the depth and bottom at speed.
