Garmin Overlander

Crashed again – Don't bother with this rubbish, Garmin once made good quality GPS and this has been nothing but a nightmare. It turns on when it feels like it and doesn't turn off when you turn the car off (25 Mins and still running). It crashed about 6 times in the 2 days i had it and a soft boot worked for a short time but has since stopped being an option when it crashed for the 6th and final time. Who wants to be soft booting the thing every time you go out and hoping it's going to work when you decide to move to the next location. Save your money and avoid the frustration itll give ya. i just looked at the rated stars and i had to give them all 1 stars as it didn't work long enough for me to even get it out of the driveway!!!

Love this Device – Over the years we've had a few navigational devices and they were mostly complicated and short lived. So before buying this Garmin Overlander we did some serious research. We were impressed with the positive results we found online so purchased one of our own. It has been fantastic, so easy to use and so accurate. It offers excellent clarity and easy to follow directions so that even I who have absolutely no tech experience whatsoever can operate it with ease. We love the magnetic attach capability as you just place it near the stand and it latches on so solidly. Sadly we dropped it a few months ago and it fell onto the gearstick and smashed the internal screen, we were so devasted to lose this wonderful product. Anyway we contacted Garmin hoping it could be fixed. The lovely lady we spoke to explained that Garmin don't do repairs to their navigational aids but they offered us a replacement Garmin Overlander for approximately a quarter of the original purchase price and all we had to do was send our broken Garmin back. We jumped at the offer and have our new Garmin Overlander back in the vehicle. Their customer service was friendly, spot on and prompt it was a real pleasure dealing with them. Highly recommend this device to all those who love travelling this great land of ours.
