Worst service I've encountered
I have experienced terrible customer service on multiple occasions. A number of times I have been disconnected from the customer service representative and have had to call back 3+ times.
My friend almost missed a flight when the car locked us out with the luggage inside the car when i needed to report damage. When I started driving the alarm went off two separate times.
I have also been changed incorrect fees of $25 for times that I apparently kept the car to long when I did not.
Terrible company. Terrible service. Terrible software.
Beware YOUR responsibility for a GoGet car does not end when the booking ends. GoGet expects me to pay several hundred dollars in fines plus Go Get's penalty of $25 for each fine in my case three days' worth i.e.$75 when I did not have a booking on those days. A total of nearly $500 according to the BCC and on days I did not have bookings.
After calling GoGet to advise there were no parking spots available for the vehicle being returned on the day of use, customer service advised I park as close as possible to the pick up point where only met...
Easy and convenient
Using GoGet for the first time was an easy and convenient experience. Within 15 minutes I had picked up a GoGet card, had the card activated and was on the way to pick up the van. The customer service team were really helpful and made the whole experience go smoothly. The van was in immaculate condition and was really easy to drive. Highly recommend this service.
GoGet wont return my calls about an accident
I was involved in a minor at fault accident on 7 May involving a third party and paid a $750 damage fee to GoGet to cover the damage. GoGet hasn't contacted the third party to sort out their damage and they are now chasing me to cover the costs. I have emailed the GoGet damage team twice and rang three times trying to speak to someone in Australia to try sort it out and GoGet hasn't returned any of my calls. Seriously - turn around and run. Do not hire one of these cars.
Good option when you don't have a car.
Used Goget for the first time recently. Booking was easy and straight forward. Car was in good condition
and reliable also in very convenient location. Very reasonably priced.
Will use it again.
I signed up to GoGet & used a van to move a lot of stuff from storage to home. When I've hired vans before I've had to travel to the business premises to collect & return the van. With GoGet it was a short walk from my home.
When I got in the van I needed some advice on operation so called GoGet & had a great response.
I would definitely recommend GoGet - the best customer experience I've had in a long time,
Users Beware : GoGet randomly charging you
This is not a usual frustration post but more of a wary one to existing customers.
Was charged wrongly twice in 2 weeks for no reason and not the cost of any booking or statement. Tried emailing them regarding this and was told it was a booking or a statement fee but they couldnt be sure, when I explained how it was a wrong charged they stopped replying. After emailing several times and got brought around in loops, I called twice and was put on hold both times indefinitely after explaining my situation to the operator. Finally after a month th...ey acknowledged a wrong charge, couldnt explain it and refunded me. 2 weeks later I was charged randomly again this time at a much larger cost. Went through the same process and got led in circles with no one wanting to reply my emails or calls. Was told to send a screenshot of the charge then someone would get back to me, no one did. I called again and they said this time send the screenshot and someone will get back to me for sure but once again no one did. I have repeatedly asked for an explanation as to why and how this has happened as I cant be looking over my shoulder with random charges every single day and the fact that they refuse to explain or address it is why existing users should be extra careful. This is not a typical frustration post but more of a wary one to existing customers. We are so used to the digital wallets being accessed by direct debits that we may often not check our statements or due to the small amounts it skips past us. This situation proves that if I did not randomly come across the charges, it would have just gone through and GoGet would have kept quietly charging all these amounts over the duration of your membership. Plus with their customer service of not being able to explain why this is happening and even if you were to cancel your account they still have a link to it, highlights the importance of staying on top of your charges. It is not the amount of money they get through once or twice but the principles of a company that lets this happen and refuses to explain or admit it. Downright disappointing
I like the fact that we can hire the car anytime.
Great customer service and all the payment handed well and booking experience was great too. I used to the vehicle to do a short trip and it was great and the car was pretty new.
First time user and a senior. Needed a van to pick up a bulky object and transport to our bush retreat 90 mins from Darlinghurst. Vans were located 3 mins walk from our apartment. Got the job done there and back in 3 1/2 hours. All good and no problems. Satisfied first time user.
Cancelled account, still being charged and receiving statements
Set up a Goget account with relative ease and hiring the car was a simple process. However the car was very dirty with water bottles left inside from the previous user, crumbs on both front seats and a dirty inside windshield. After this experience I didn't hire anymore cars and decided to cancelled my Goget account, by logging into my account and completing the online survey. Since doing this two months ago, I have received a monthly statement asking for payment, for the next month. After the first statement, I chatted to Sarah E on the chat w...iget who assured me that the account had been cancelled and that I wouldn't be charged anything. This month I again received a statement and checking my credit card today, I have been charge $28 membership after being told by Sarah E that there was nothing pending on the account. I have since raised a credit card dispute claim with my bank. I would like to add that Sarah E had me on the chat wiget for at least 40 mins to answer a few simple question, with me having to constantly ask if she was looking at my account and how much longer this process will take. Terrible customer service and processes and I will not be recommending this service to anyone. Avoid if possible and don't bother with this company.
Many cars removed without notice?
Suddenly almost all cars in my local area were removed without notice to past customers. Two engagements with chat line resulted in "all cars deactivated until further notice" No indication of when cars might be available again. GoGet has usage history and phone numbers. How hard is it to create an SMS group and inform regular clients what is going on? Every day for last 2 weeks I have walked past a car which was previously available but no longer on the booking system? Very poor customer service and logistics management.

GoGet account Cancelled - Still being charged!!!!
I cancelled my GoGet account - Ticket 476553 - [name removed] kindly confirmed account closure. However, GoGet keeps sending me a monthly email "Your payment didn't go through" from [name removed] (Accounts Receivable). So I opened a ticket 499642 and Goget resolved this without response. Then I opened another ticket 499640 and [name removed] confirmed account is closed and said "Once again my sincere apologies for the confusion" and also [name removed] responded and said "Once again, sorry for the trouble caused and thanks for your patience...". But on April 16, 2020, my credit card account was charged and I have contacted my credit card issuer to execute a dispute transaction - they have also cancelled the cards. I now have a new ticket 509464 on 3-May-2020. I want a refund and I want [name removed] to stop sending emails and I want their automated system to stop trying to charge my account. There's a reason I don't like GoGet - Look here for another bad review from me. https://www.productreview.com.au/reviews/9f4ffd0e-da37-3477-99eb-eec79a9358e8
Good 1st Experience
This was my first time using the GoGet service and I was happy with the product and service. I hired a van to pick up some furniture which we purchased.
Everything went well and as expected. It is very easy and convinient.

Disappointingly dodgy. Won't be using again.
The process of booking a van was easy, and the quality of the van (Toyota Hiace, under 3700km on the odo) was fine. My issue is with how this company hides substantial charges, and seemingly completely ignores its own offers.
Firstly, I signed up with a promo through IKEA which was supposed to waive the $49 joining fee. I even have a receipt from GoGet that states this has been applied. Yet I still have a $49 charge on my card. Additionally, they have taken and held another $250 off my card. I questioned this, and was told it is a pre-authoriz...ation, required for confirming the account can be charged. I was also advised this will not be released for 30 days, but if I wanted to call them I could get that reduced to 14 days minimum. This is an absolute joke. My total fee for hiring the car was less than $20. It should not need that much tied up in a pre-auth. Hotels can do this with $1, and certainly clear it back in quicker time than a whole month. The day after I used and returned the van I then get an SMS telling me that the next member who booked it cannot find it. Which is curious, since I returned it to the exact same car park I picked it up from, which is located literally outside the entrance to the IKEA shop. When I called up to confirm that yes, I parked it where it should be, the person I spoke to did not sound like they knew what to do with that information. I wonder if they even bothered to check the GPS tracking, which surely they would have on a distributed vehicle fleet. Avoid this company. It's not worth the hassle. I'll be finding a mate with a ute and hiring them for the price of a case of beer next time.
I highly recommend not signing up to Goget, especially at the moment. I recently bought a car and moved to the country, so cancelled my membership. I had a $500 security deposit with the company. When making the call to cancel my membership, I was told that this would be put straight back into my account. A week later, this hadn't happened, so I called them, only to be told that it would be processed in 5 - 8 business days. 8 business days later I called up, to be told that my security deposit (repeatedly incorrectly identified as being $250) h...ad not been 'processed' (I was unable to get an answer as to whether that means 'deposited', and if not, what that means). Numerous calls later, I was told that there is only one person in the company who can process security deposit refunds, and they were off work. I find this very hard to believe. I was promised that today I would receive confirmation that my refund had been processed. Sure enough, I've heard nothing. I suspect that this company has severe cash flow issues and is simply not processing the refund. I'm not confident of ever getting it back as it's been about a months since I first cancelled my account. Avoid if you can help it at all.
Disgusting nightmare : impossible to end my subscription
I was approached 4 years ago in IKEA store and subscribed as it sounded good. Since 2018 as I wasn’t using it anymore and they were charging my credit card with annual fees, I’ve been trying to leave, but they ignored my requests and it's still going on in 2020 (they even pretend I never made any closure request, when I have all the traceability saved).
They will fine you without notification - Be careful using this service
I hired cars multiple times a week and was generally happy with the service. I had just upgraded to the go-frequent. I would often pay for an extra 30 minutes so I could fill up on petrol for the next person. I even personally delivered items left behind in the car to their owner at the request of goget.
Then $75 was taken out of my bank account without notice. I checked my invoice and it was itemised as 'fine' without any further details. I contacted customer support and they told me it was for returning the car late. I explained it was 2am ...and the apartment building where I needed to return the car was completely locked. I had tried calling security and customer service but as it was 2am I could not get hold of anyone. Luckily a resident of the apartment building eventually and let me in. $75 is approximately the cost to hire the car for an entire day and is ridiculous for returning a car under and an hour late ($6.50). Especially considering I had not returned a car late in all the times I had used the service for over a year. The information provided in the app regarding access to the building was incorrect. I have had this issue with other parking bays but was able to get in contacting security. The customer support team did not care at all. I have cancelled my membership as I do not want to be fined without notice for anything else. I was already anxious of being blamed or charged for damage or the cars being dirty (as they often are). From this experience I will not risk using the service.
It was nice to walk down the street and pick up the car. The car ran perfectly the whole trip and it was nice to just fill it up and not worry about a thing.
Stopped parking your cars on our street.
We are getting more and more of go get cars parking along our street. It is a very quiet residential area. Many of us now cannot park in front of our own house. Have called up the council and they confirmed that it is for people living there and not for businesses parking their cars there. Do the right thing.
Total mess around payments
GoGet is absolutely grey schema when it all comes to payments. Their 'My Bookings' section gives absolutely no info on what rides have i already paid for and what is the total for each given ride. Therefore they absolutely free to charge your account over and over for the same rides as you cant figure it out by looking at the bookings history and would have no arguments to say the cost has already been covered. Even you can go through emails to find all the invoices, it does not contain any info on how much kilometers you did per ride and what ...is the total cost. This gives them an opportunity to ask you for another portion of $ at any time. My bookings history may have random booked and then cancelled rides that i never booked. Be very careful. We switched to use Uber as it gives me more confidence about the costs.

Does your senior plan include age 60 or start at age 61?
Sorry for our late response. It includes age 60, so 60s and over.
Hope this helps!
Hi, is there any cars available in Macquarie park NSW? Thank you
