great service, convenient, use all the time
Rarely have any issues, when I have they have been handled very quickly and efficiently by go get.
It is so convenient for us having a car in our road especially with a young son, we can just go straight out

A good idea that's gone downhill
I signed up to GoGet 18 months ago to trial living without a car. I loved it. There was a Toyota Yaris in a pod right outside my front door and another 4 cars in the neighbourhood in the event that the Toyota wasn't available. I loved it. It was a cheap, easy alternative to car ownership that met all of my needs.
Then came COVID. GoGet have progressively pulled cars out of my area. They've now left a single vehicle, an 8 seat people carrier, that's further away from my house than the supermarket where I do my weekly shop. So now I have to wal...k there, drive back with groceries, drive back again to the pod and walk back home. It adds 30 minutes onto the former hire time, a lot of inconvenience and of course it's a much bigger (so more expensive) vehicle. Plus since there's only one now, it's massively contended; I'm lucky if I can even get access to the vehicle when I need it. At times the vehicle will be evident, parked in the street but not showing as available for hire. The servicing of the vehicles seems to have fallen off too, I frequently find that there are food spills or sticky stains in cars. Calling the (off shore) service centre is a waste of time. While they answer promptly the team there are not empowered to do very much at all. Certainly complaining about vehicle availability has made no difference despite multiple attempts. I finally gave up nd bought a new car this week. It's a LOT more expensive but a hell of a lot more reliable too.

So convenient and easy!
Had a couple of minor problems at the beginning
Phone contact with customer care is somewhat of a challenge at times, and email responses tend to take at least 24 hours. Cars are generally pretty clean however my very first one was shockingly dirty and I had to go wash it myself. However very handy and extreamly easy to book online 8.5/10
$1700 computer monitor stolen out of van by someone with a go get card!
crap liaison with the police to retrieve my stolen property. My advice is never use this service. They don't care about customer service and if something happens like what happened to me, They are no help.
So Easy to GoGet
Been using GoGet for a year now. We've used cars and a van and all so easy to book and use. Vehicles are conveniently located nearby both our home and work. It's hassle-free and the vehicles are in very good condition and clean. Recommend GoGet highly.

Convenient, cheaper than owning a car and green
I have been using GoGet since 2014 and never looked back after selling my car . I enjoy the flexibility, convenience and ease of use. The website and app are easy to use and the customer service staff are friendly and helpful too. Would recommend

Atrocious customer service, they will keep charging your card for false charges
Have been trying to contact customer service for 3 months now, about charges that are popping up onto my invoice that are blatantly wrong (late drop off fee $25 and incorrect km's), and have been getting no response. They basically accumulated $300 worth of late drop off fees, even on days where I drop the car off 15/20 mins before the booking end time.

The car and availability was good but the accounts system and phone help is very poor.
i was left on hold for over 45 minutes after i asked to talk to a supervisor re the actions of a customer support worker of go get as he tried to bill my credit card for an amount that was not warranted the worker did not advise while on the phone call that he was even going to attempt such transaction he just simply put me on hold and then come back to the call after five minutes and said that the card declined so i asked for what reason was he trying to charge my card and for what amount.
like i said very bad customer service and infarct i would not recommend the service to anyone and i will be going back to use car next door from now on
Great Idea but Unhappy with changes
Have found GoGet to work pretty well. App isn't great, but haven't had an outright problem, just a clunky user experience. Biggest frustration is that you can't book cars for 30 mins (I feel like you used to be able to?). I live in the inner city and often only need a car for 30mins, suddenly goget has become more expensive if I need to hire a car for an hour.
Good idea. But poor setup. Sneaky extra charges/fines they don't substantiate. Chat tool does not work. Hard to contact.
Have been trying repeatedly to contact re: extra charges, to no avail.
Received two fines that were not substantiated. One I believer relates to extra time taken in order to fill up the car after a previous user left it low on petrol.
Very poor customer service

Charged 4 months worth when I used the car for 3 weeks and suspended the membership before the first month was up. They refuse to answer my on line chat messages and delete facebook posts. Sorry no stars from me for customer service.
It's a hassle more than a convenience
The cars I booked in two different occasions were not in the location shown on the app, causing my plans to change quickly because I couldn't get hold of the cars as scheduled. I had to call and their customer services representatives however were nice and tried to be helpful.
After these incidents I cancelled my membership. A few months later I received an email saying I was due for a membership renewal and the money would be debited from my account.

Convenience is questionable
Car was returned almost an hour before end time. Another vehicle had parked in the GoGet spot. Called them to update on the new parking location nearby which was free and had no time restriction at the time of parking which was a Sunday. Told GoGet that the car need to be moved early on Monday to avoid any fines. Was asked for a favour to hold on to the vehicle till noon the next day. Agreed to it. The parking was still occupied the next day. GoGet then advises that I would need to find a free and unlimited duration parking space on St Kilda Ro...ad (the funniest joke I’ve heard in a while). My options were to potentially pay for any infringements of parking the vehicle nearby or to find the nearest parking that met their requirement and find my own way home. Had to call in a favour with my building manager to park in his spot. No it doesn’t pay to be nice. Was using GoGet to reduce carbon footprint and as a 2nd larger household car but after this and other incidents this month, the missus and I have have had enough and would be parking our money elsewhere. Newsflash GoGet: there is no such thing as a free and unlimited parking in the CBD metro area during business hours (which is also the only time that you can get someone out to pick up the car). Invest in a contingency parking space near the vehicle’s pod instead of forcing customers to solve your problems for you. Not so convenient after all.
Don’t Get a GoGet.
Our car works! Yay! However... the left sliding door failed to open and there was used, old MacDonalds food and drinks in the respective pockets of the car. This leaves me to form an opinion that GoGet does NOT clean their cars on a horrid time like COVID19.

It's Great till it's NOT
I've been using their service for more than a year, and at the beginning, it was great until they start causing problem especially after me closing my account. They still haunt me and my money.
I started to feel uncomfortable getting invoices that cost from 20-40 dollars a month despite only using a car for an hour a month. I didn't question much cuz maybe I wasn't aware of my usage.
Eventually, because of an infringement issue that I wasn't happy about how they investigate it, I decided to close my account.
However, they didn't close my a...ccount and issue the infringement FEE right away, and I haven't been receiving notice or reminder until months later. And after I finally paid off everything, 2 days later they charged me again for the same invoice. and now I had to wait for a week for them to refund it back to me. So I assume my account is still active and still able to deduct my money despite requested to close my account twice. This raises some security concerns, what if I didn't notice they took my money? are they gonna abuse the details I've given them and still take my money even though I'm no longer using their service?
Get a vehicle is quick but return one is a disaster
9 out of 10 times the designed parking bay was occupied by another vehicle and the call never reached the customer service until the booking session ended. I left a voicemail reporting the issue and I still got an infringement notice! That is extremely disappointing as the GoGet should be notified and they are responsible for notifying the council!

We received an infringement notice while we didn't even have a booking for that car. They claimed that we swiped our card but they couldn’t provide any evidence when we asked for one. Customer service was awful and couldn’t help me solve the issue (spoke to the customer service team few times and yet never called me back with an answer). Avoid this dodgy company at any cost.
