Haier HVF90VW

We purchased this small freezer because the freezer section of our Whirlpool two-door fridge is a bit limited for space and we want to start getting regular meal deliveries. It was ordered on a Sunday and delivered the very next day at lunchtime! Installation was simple of course; unpack it, move to position, adjust the levelling feet and plug it in. For a while I thought it wasn't working as there was no sound (the Whirlpool is the noisiest fridge I've ever known though it's worked reliably for sixteen years now). However, placing a sensor inside showed it was indeed cooling the interior so I set it to max and left it for a few hours and it reached -24C on the digital meter.

I loaded it up and stepped the thermostat down till it hovered around -18C - job done. The virtually soundless operation and drawer configuration make it easy to live with and to find everything - beats a chest freezer where stuff can lie in the bottom for years!!!
