Poorly designed. "thickness gauge" 1/5. Not accurate AND moves wide (15 cm) open when food is held against it to slice. Loose. NO adjustmentment. Needs a thumbscrew to hold selected thickness in place.
Follow-up · After taking base off & tightening adjustment nut, now stays in position I adjust it to. Cuts evenly. Not noisey. Cleaning easy. Awkward the way sliced food comes out. Need to put a plate UNDER output area ???
Follow-up · Worse. After holding width "adjustment" dial in place while slicing, food builds up on rear of device, then to kitchen counter. Need to jam a plate under device to catch slices, which lifts 2 suction legs off counter. Bar holding slicer "table" hard to re-assemble. Made from flimsy material. Would NOT recommend.

This is a very well designed and built machine – As I have only just received the Food Slicer I have yet to experience the advantages over our previous machine First impression is that it is well made and robust The only fault I have found so far is in the instructions On page 5 on the removal of the cutting blade it states “that you must turn the grey knob in an anticlockwise direction” but in fact it has to be turned in the clockwise direction to complete this operation

Ok, but bad have to fix brand new machine. Designers don't seem to test it ?
