Handy little bar fridge – This bar fridge is extremely basic which is a good thing - there are very few parts to go wrong. Just a thermostat and a compressor. Its built light and I can easily pick it up when its empty. I use it as a beer fridge and the occasional extra space when out other fridge is too full. No complaints  Show details

Still works fine - bit of a humm – My one still works fine with a bit of a humm but I am worried now, reading the other reviews. Its only used over summer and is in storage the rest of the time. Its very basic and and gets the job done although it can frost over sometimes. Obh well it was cheap and has already given three years.  Show details

Junk – I have inherrited this fridge when it was still pretty new. It has worked for 5 years or so. It seems to only have 2 settings that the thermostat recognises.... It's either far too warm inside, or everything freezes. There is no inbetween although the rotary dial would suggest many settings 1 through to 5. On the warmer setting, as opposed to the… Read more

whole thing freezing up, the drinks are only a few degrees below room temperature. It's just rubbish.

Load of crap! – 18 months old and stopped . Asked Gaf Control Sales for some assistance and quoted out of warranty .would not recommend to buy , not worth the money to buy . Beware of this brand . Best bit about unit is that it looks good . Again don't buy and be caught .  Show details

Worse bar fridge – I paid $199 and the compressor broke down 15 months later, after the warranty expired. I enquired for quotes for replacing the compressor, but eventually buying a new fridge would be cheaper. It lacks quality, breaks down conveniently after your warranty expires and ice would be frozen in the shelf below the freezer. I got so tired of clearing the… Read more

ice out every 5 days. This fridge was noisy too. I do not recommend this, you're better off buying a second hand Korean (samsung) fridge off gumtree than buying this on dealsdirect.

Breaks down easily, energy inefficient

Didn't work out of the factory – Found one of these Heller bar fridges just thrown out new behind a white goods store. The fridge had three quality control passed stickers on it and when powered up provided no cooling, only making a loud hissing noise inside the fridge. The fridge also appears to be very similar to GVA, same compressor and mechanical/compressor compartment construction. Disappointing to see that some don't even work from the factory. Didn't work, rebranded

Works ok but too hard to get fixed – If you want something cheap this will be ok, but once you are out of warranty don't expect to get it repaired.
