Lifetime guarantee – State they have a lifetime guarantee, until you try to use it, then all the excuses come out. Must have a receipt (was a gift a few years ago), zip for waterproff cover is coming unstiched and stuck (its never been used), I have mistreated it, it have overfilled it. It's not covered by guarantee but I can pay to have it repaired. Show details

The quality and size has been reduced – It's a bit dishonest for HS to give a product the same name that is actually smaller and missing features. For example, when I bought a new HS Access backpack, it: 1. No longer had one of the side pockets 2. No longer had back support straps 3. Was overall smaller. (And YES, this is BEFORE they introduced the 'Access 2.0'. It was still just the… Read more

'Access' backpack - but with LESS!) Also the stitching will start coming apart before long: for example on mine, the stitching between the outermost large compartment and the main large compartment. Quality going DOWN.

Most rugged backpack ever... Tough, reliable and long lasting – I've owned one of these backpacks and used it for work for at least the past 7 years now, and it's been a very tough bag. Over time, like anything the stitching on the edges of the support straps has started to come unstitched (which is only minor, as it doesn't affect the strength of the straps) and only now, after 7 years are the zips starting… Read more

to fail. That's pretty impressive durability to last that long! I'm struggling to find another bag that can compete with this one, because as you do you check out the specifications and do a comparison on other brands and models, but nothing comes close. There's 7 different storage areas, ranging from the 2 largest compartments, a compartment for storing your sunglasses, a handy side stash pocket, a hidden pocket between the 2 large compartments and the smaller front compartments, and the smaller size compartments have a change pocket and another zip up place for small items, some pen holders and a lanyard clip for your keys or i.d. card. All up there's a huge 44 litres of storage space available. When the weather turns bad it has a built in weather proof cover that just unzips from its little hiding spot and covers the bag to keep it nice and dry. As I've stated, I'm struggling to find another bag on the market that compares to the High Sierra Access Laptop Backpack, so I've actually just ordered another one! They are simply the best bag out there, and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking to a good, decent quality and long lasting backpack.
