I have an idea, they are a piece of Junk, should be taken of the market as they are archaic cheap and truly useless pieces of technology.

I can’t even get channel 7 on my Hisense 40” tv

Hi Disappointed, after warning everyone I can, about my absolutely appalling experience, with exactly the same TV that you are having problems with, Hisense complained, and had the reviews removed. All I can say is that the unit you have, is completely substandard. I replaced my Hisense TV, that was weeks out of warranty, when an existing issue it had previously been fixed for returned. Hisense, would not come to the party, at all. They didn’t even offer to supply the parts, so that I could pay to have them fitted, even thought the part that had failed once again, was less than 3 years old. My advice is to buy a Samsung, they are worth the extra money! So easy to use, AMAZING customer service, and much better quality! Good luck, and let’s see how long it is until Hisense, once again, gets my review removed! Don’t fix problems, just censor the truth, way to go!

You need to press 7 and the red button, or 10 and the red button on your remote.

That didn't work on my TV pressing 7 and red button .. it's like my 7plus and 10play just disappeared..how can I get them back ..red button dont work for me...

Seems like Hisense is not fit for purpose so I’m going to replace mine asap. Have had enough… can’t even get ABC streaming now. Started out no SBS, then 7 … streaming.

I can't get it on my hisense either.. can't install it from app store. Used to get it, but can't now.. and this tv is 6mths old!!

I had this problem when I first got my Hisense. Wouldn't get 7 at all and others were pixelated. My LG never did this at all. I changed the tv aerial cable I was using to what most have been a better quality one I had in a box and all problems fixed. Pick up every channel including 7 with no problems after that

Same TV same problem, hisence sent technicians twice, replaced the mother board but twelve months on problem is worse but all other channel are good. I have reset the tv back to factory dozens of times and it does not fix it.9now have been in denial and have recently said an email statingvthey are developing a new 9 now app for Hisence TV ? They better hurry they have agerage rating and if advertisers discover Nine Now is not available to Hisense user things will go from bad to worse. Lyn Hillside Vic

Hisense are absolute rubbish! Had a 2018 model 55inch smart TV, no updates for 3 years then all of a sudden 3 days out from the federal election an update was forced on me where I couldn't operate the TV unless the update was installed. Update installed and coincidentally time shift no longer works as of 3 days ago. The hard drive that I had running with time shift over the last 2 years is all of a sudden not recognised and won't work with the TV. Tried a brand new 1TB hard drive straight out of the box, never used, formatted and partitioned appropriately for the TV and SAME thing! Coincidence? I'm throwing this piece of garbage in the bin!! Refuse to buy anything Samsung for the exact same reason! Once the 3 years of use is up, mysteriously an update renders the products useless! Went through 2 Note 4 phones with this exact rubbish! Absolutely fed up with all of these companies and their crap!!!

Me too, a new mother board fixed it for a while but does not work on nine now months later. I can watch everything but 9 now and 9 now has to own up that their own problems with Hisence but they have problems as well on Samsung TV' s as well. Lyn Hillside Vic

I here you, same proplen here with near new Hisence TV however my daughter tells me when she has had a problem watching on her Samsung TV I year old it is only ever with 9 Now.The folk at 9 Now claim they are making an app for Hisence TVs ? Seems like 9 Now better hurry up before the advitisers hear the 6 comercals every 15 minutes on free to air are not being seen by viewers. Lyn Hillside Victoria

They, The Good Guys, not only scammed customers but also the government offering them to unsuspecting clients of the appliance upgrade offer. I know this as I used this offer and did tell salesperson I wanted to use the catch-up Freeview channels. Scam scam scam!

Hi Kane, no, you can’t! As I say to everyone I can, who has been hoodwinked into buying one of these substandard, rubbish TV’s, sell or dispose of it, in any way you can, and buy a Samsung! I bought a secondhand Samsung, to replace my rubbish Hinonsense, and it has ALREADY outlived the Hinonsense! The first time my garbage TV broke down, was when it was only months old. The SAME problem happened, a very short time, after the end of the warranty period. I pointed out to Hinonsense, that the part which had failed again, wasn’t as old as the rest of the TV, so should still be under warranty. As always, they just ignored me, that why I now take EVERY opportunity to tell people how rubbish all of Hinonsense products are. I had 2 TV and a fridge, all die, within 3 months of each other, all JUST after the warranty period! This is actually not allowed, under consumer protection laws, and if we weren’t in a pandemic, I would take them to court!

Please note, not all Samsungs work with 9 now. I have 3 TV's and only the oldest one will show live TV on 9now. Work that one out!

Yes true,9 now doesn't always work on Samsung either.

Samsung TVs have a problem with 9 Now also. We should be complaining to broadcasting commission about our sub standard free to air TV

The answer is, you can’t! These TV’s are RUBBISH! I had one, which broke down within 6 months of buying it. It then broke down weeks after the warranty period ended, with the same issue. I contact Highnonsense about this, explaining that the part that was originally changed, didn’t last as long as it should have, and that consumer affairs said this wasn’t on, electrical goods should be last a minimum time, which was 6 years, for a TV, from memory. I now have a Samsung, that I bought used. It has a much better menu, easier to use, has full functionality, and is reliable! Sell or dispose of your Highnonsense, and buy a Samsung, you won’t regret it!

Yes my Hisence was a rebuild in 6 months but give it time and 9nine will let you down regardless of make and model

Wow..Hisense just rang me back and said Hisense don’t have and agreement with Australian broadcasting channels so you can’t get channel 7 9 or 10 etc on you TV directly via the apps. Wow what a piece of crap brand. Will be taking this TV back tomorrow and hopefully buy a Samsung..or anything other than Hisense. Never trust this brand again for any appliances.

I’m in the same boat! I have a little Hisense TV I bought for while the house is being renovated (which is taking years!) as I didn’t want a big one in case it get wrecked. Can’t get channel 7, 9 or 10 on the App Store so I just googled the problem and it came up with your comment here. It’s so weird!!! Imagine not having this agreement in place. They’ve got all sorts of other weird apps to download. How bizarre!! Thanks for doing the research and answering the question!!! Good luck and hope you can find a solution.

yes I have this tv and did not think about just what the programming was for movie and tv media I would not have brought this if I know it was NOT google tv

You need an aerial to watch regular TV. They are not streamed on wifi.

Hisense hasn’t bought licensing for the other channels. They are all available via wifi, my previous tv got them via wifi. My laptop gets them via wifi

P.s. Tried channel scan again and again and it does NOT work!

Same happened to my hisense, try clearing the cache, tv will restart, make sure wifi working, go to freeview by pressing green button, and choose C7, choose a program, there will be a menu that says "watch now", and underneath that it says "More on7 Plus" click on that! Worked fine for me.
