the same Samsung Home Theatre system which runs from the Optical Out Digital socket on the back of the TV so I rate the sound as Identical to the old 60" Sony - I guess digital sound is identical from any TV with optical digital sound out as I didn't need to adjust the Home Theatre and all my 1080p music clips sound exactly the same on both TVs. Price, Picture, PVR, 1080p USB playback, connectivity all great Fairly heavy, not as slimline as most current TVs, tinny sounding built-in speakers [use Home Theatre:-)]

This is very disappointing – Just purchased this television and I must be honest it's terrible. Prior to this unit I had a 55 inch Sony bravia which has a much clearer and crisper picture. The speaker on this unit is absolute rubbish and sounds like your listening to your laptop.
