Hi - I have a holden CRUZE SRVI - the 1.6 turbo that has done 145 000 kms , i bought it 3 months ago - it goes well and runs pretty smooth. I took it for Rego and the mechanic noticed that the Coolant in the reservoir seemed to be under pressure after his 5 min test drive and the water/water there seemed to be boiling - and there could be a potential head gasket issue. I then took the car home which was 8 mins about 5 kms away and when I got home I could hear the reservoir bubbling internally , and I partly opened the cap to that and yes it wanted to explode out - so I retightened the cap . Since then I always monitor the coolant temperature reading - Now while I am driving the Coolant temperature goes up to 105 Degrees and stays around there. The oil seems fine - not milky - the coolant fluid are clean and pink. My Question is - what is the normal operating temp of these cars - - is 105 degrees normal , and does this sound like a potential Head gasket issue - thanks , Wayne - I am in Gosford
hello i have a problem withth e indicators horn and hazard lights not responding. they all work fine when locking and unlocking. but are unresponsive in the car. any ideas?
This isn't something I've come across before and can't diagnose properly without seeing the car for myself. (The indicator stalk could be broken maybe?). I suggest seeing an auto electrician or post your problem on the "chevy cruze" site to see if anyone has had a similar problem.
How do I get to the transmission of my holden cruise CDX 2010
The transmission is bolted to the left side of the engine block. It requires no service from the driver, if there is a leak or needs repairs/replacement you need to consult a reputable mechanic for advice.
Hi, the problem is as follows: The temperature guage stops working, the cooling fan comes on and does not stop, and the cooling of the air conditioner does not work. Then the engine light comes on. I've suspected a faulty sensor, and have that reset. All works for a day or up to a week, then all return. I've had the thermostat sensor replaced but this has not helped.
Should the hose from bottom of radiator up to I think its pump for coolant get really hot ?
The answer is yes Irishs, the coolant temp runs at about 95 degrees c. Check your coolant level once a week, always check for leaks and keep an eye on the temp gauge. The most common cause of engine damage is OVERHEATING once this happens a cracked head can follow then things get expensive very quickly.

Which dash lights are you having trouble seeing? and are the headlights on? Some cruzes default to headlights on which dims the dash lights. Most of the dash lights aren't required during the day for obvious reasons, or most likely the auto dim feature has been disabled.
I have a 2010 JG CDX auto. My mechanic done a low klm engine swap from a 2012 JH CDX, all went well except now I am getting code 79. My original engine has the low oil sensor in the sump,but this new engine does not. The wiring harness was replaced with the newer version, everything is the same, the car drives like new, no issues at all except the code 79. Everything was replaced with new parts including timing belt. Full of new oil but still flashes the code 79. Anyone have any thoughts how to sort this out please?
I suggest you try the" Chevy Cruze forum" I'm pretty sure someone on that site could help you. Theres's millions of Cruzes getting around the US they have a decent following over there. Getting rid of this code may be as easy as earthing one of the wires to the sensor. Other than that, you need to find your local auto electronics guru with a high end scanner. Cheers, Frank.
Hi 2016 z series turbo problems I've paid $1600 for a turbo replacement 12 weeks now I now have this mess I'm pretty sure this doesn't look right also it says 1.3 fuse on the turbo and as I said mine is a 1.6 it was a simple turbo replacement I asked for as stick as possible but the best U can get to original as car went quick anyway stock 37099 km I'm so frustrated Its obviously not connected as U can see and vacume and wires not happy anyone care to comment helpful advice would be appreciated I don't think the guy is gonna do the righty so where to fromm here anyone "Holden Cruze Questions | ProductReview.com.au" https://www.productreview.com.au/listings/holden-cruze/q-and-a

I did some research and i found site that my car "one reliable package" that is 100% exactly same car as mine. that it all was great reviews not a single negative comments! I also noticed that 2009-2012 is lemon and but i think they have improved by 2013-currently, i think?
0022/03: I took massive risk brought a Cruze after million of negative options and reviews but my gut keeping telling me this 'this is the one' when i test drove a one and brought it next 2 days and one my friend got one too not long after me, their was 2010 and had been TERRIBLE.
Has anyone had automatic transmission issues with a 2015 or 2016 with the updated grill? Apparently it’s very common in the previous models but I’m looking into a 2015 or 2016 Equipe model just hoping no one’s had trouble with their auto transmission 1.8l
We have had a lot of trouble with our holden cruze 2009 model bu we are battling with having to replace the coolant bottle every couple of months. We went to my mums about halk hour drive and when we came out the coolant was running all over her drive. We travelled home and when we pulled in our drive it just all came out on out drive in big puddles. So sick of this car. We are on old age pensions and can't afford this car when all these things keep happening. Can anyone enlighten me whats going on? Thanks
It's defective & Holden won't admit their defective models. Mines a 2011 the only things that have not been replaced is the actual engine, chassis & panels
Hey guys,I bought a 2012 cruze,1.4lt T. Have driven it for 12 months, without issue. All of a sudden it,shuts down while driving, won't start until it cools down. Nothing coming up on computer, Mechanic doesn't know what's wrong with it. Please help?
Get rid of it NOW, mine was the biggest waste of money in my life, nothing but trouble and no one can ever figure out what is wrong. Mine is now sitting in the drive unregistered needing a new power steering rack. This is after the dealer having to replace just about everything to get all the lights on the dash to go off.
