The mower cuts the grass ok, and is light and easy to manoeuvre but as soon as the grass is even slightly long or thick, it cuts out. It overheats regularly and it will often take hours to mow my medium size lawn just because I have to keep stopping and starting. Don't waste your money. Show details

Underpowered and the Thermal Cutout Does Not Protect the Motor – This has far less power than an Ozito mower costing less then half as much. It failed after a year due to the windings burning out which shows the thermal cutout device does not help. How did Honda allow this to tarnish their brand name? Show details

EXPECTED BETTER FROM HONDA – Being made in France rather than China initially gave me the confidence to purchase it, but it didn't take long for the hope to fade. Even with a sharp blade (which is essential) the cutting performance in good dry conditions is mediocre at best - double cutting is required to give a good finish and the mower does not have the power (blade speed)… Read more

to effectively fill the catcher - constantly have to empty it when maybe half full or clippings start to pile on the ground. In anything other than ideal conditions, forget it - clogs up constantly and cuts, or I should say hacks even worse. And as others have said the wheels do come off from time to time - and yes I use loctite on the threads. It is not the first 240 volt mower I have owned either so I don't believe I was expecting too much, the previous mower was an Oleo-Mac of Italian origin and was by far a better unit in every respect but wore out after about 15 years hard use and I could not obtain a replacement so settled for the Honda - should have purchased an Ozito - heaps cheaper and just as good.

Owned two, light, ok for small areas – Owned the first one for 4 years and it was super reliable and bought another which only lasted 3 years. It's ideal for small lawns only and for dry grass that's not too long. Anything more and it clogs regularly and makes it unusable. It's pretty cheaply made and feels toy-like at times. The catcher is tiny. Blades need to be kept sharp and the… Read more

height lever is prone to breaking. Bought a Bosch as a replacement until a better Honda electric comes out.

Bullet Proof – Have put my Honda HRE370 through hell for several years, no mower deserves such treatment. Today while mowing thick damp couch on a low setting, the thermal cutout kicked in. Show details

My first mower – So this mower is my first mower. I've never had an electric one. I've got probably a backyard that's maybe 100-150sqm of lawn. Pros: - quiet - easy operation Cons: - kind of hard to maneuver - when the mower gets full it stops, so you'll need to empty the catcher but also need to go under the mower and remove some clippings so that… Read more

the mower will restart and continue again

Overall I don't mind it and quite like it. Seems like it's a great little nifty mower and I did buy electric because I want to make use of my solar panels so win win.

suits small lawns – I have used mine for 9 years now the blade is prone to hacking but fixed by sharpening the blades, not suitable for heavy duty lawns had to have it serviced once, wheels fall off often but easily fixed trails a cord but you get used to it, ran over a cord once and shredded it I am still happy with it - it still works well. not suitable for heavy duty lawns Show 4 replies

Terrible – It seems to hack the grass rather than cust properly through it, likely due to a lack of power from the small electric motor. The grass catcher is poor and you lose most of what you cut out the sides. The wheels are dodgy and appear to come off at will. Its the cheapest mower in the Honda range mostly becasue it skimps on quality and technology.… Read more

It can mow your lawn. It feels like a toy and works like that too, as it isnt really good at cutting your lawn. The motor often stops as it bogs down in taller grass.

Excellent – It's a Honda. The pros all use the the big Honda motor mowers. Other manufacturers use Honda's 4 stroke engines on their better mower models. For the cheapest mower in the Honda range it doesn't skimp on quality or innovation. Best electric mower on the Australian market. Quiet, reliable, cuts grass (doesn't hack it) and catcher actually works… Read more ·  1

(catches not spills grass. It even just looks good. Great for a lawn that isn't big enough to warrant a motor mower (not too many of us can afford quarter acre blocks in Sydney any more). Be nice if the catcher was bigger so you didn't have to empty it so often. Wheels can come loose and need to be checked / tighened. (The wheels adjust the cutting height.)
