Do you have to have black and colour cartridges in or will it operate with black only, if you only require black prints

Pull the ones in there out it will tell you. Buy a refill kit of Ebay for like 5 bucks and refill them yourself. Instructions can be found on google. You will save $100 a year on ink
Be aware. You may get a notification - your cartridge is counterfeit, and want print at all!!
