Perfect for a rental property that didn't come with a doorbell. Basic but effective – Recently moved into townhouse which has no doorbell. With the security screen in front of the door there is no easy place for visitors to knock and let us know they have arrived. So after missing a delivery it was time for a doorbell. So last time I was in bunnings picked this up on special. Conclusion: If you are after a basic doorbell (eg Press button > makes noise) this fits the bill great. No wires and doesn't occupy a power point. This fits the bill of a basic wireless doorbell nicely (Unless you intend to mount the button in a rainy area, in which case look for a weather sealed one)

Use: Put the button out the front with double sided sticky tap so easy to move some time in the future range of wireless chimes is plenty for our use in a 2 storey townhouse. I put one of the chimes just resting in a window sill in the middle of the house. It's loud enough to hear throughout the house - no problems I am only using one of the two supplied chimes as the one we are using is plenty loud enough. So far press button - chime activates. Absolutely no cases of phantom operations so far-(which some brands of wireless doorbells can do)

Good points: Great price Operates well Very easy to install - just use the supplied tape (or screws and plugs) 32 tones - plenty loud enough that we only are using one of the chime modules Uses AA batteries on the chimes, therefore not taking up a power point and unaffected by power outages. AA are an easy size to find/keep on hand.

Couple of things to note: (Neither here nor there points.) Doesn't come with AA's for the chimes - no big deal for the price. I put in a couple of rechargeable aa batteries in. The button module on the other hand does come with it's cr2032 battery ready to use. The button module is not water resistant so I wouldn't recommend if you intend to use it in an exposed location. In my case the door is out of direct water or sunlight.

Bad points: To change the tone you press a button on the sender. Each button moves the chime to another tone. which means if you like a tone, but try another one - you have to cycle all the way through 31 tones to get back to the one you liked. It's not that big of a deal but it Many of the tones are pretty cringeworthy and distorted sounding, But there are some that work well enough.

Rating: I'm giving it 4 stars because it works great but could be improved upon - namely being able to go in both directions through the tones. Perhaps less distorted sounding chime recordings.

Unknown - how long the batteries will last it is way to early to say

Purchased in at Bunnings Warehouse for $13.

Perfect – Bought the twin version of this a couple of months back. Easy to install, very clear instructions, no issues, works perfectly. Needed the twin as I have a hearing loss & can’t always hear the single doorbell - no problem with either unit not working, very happy with my purchase. Bought at Bunnings, about $25 from memory.
