Noisiest fridges ever built – So noisy it’s crazy this product is still being sold. We renovated an alfresco area and purchased 2 x Husky’s recommended by Harvey Norman. They are both so noisy we had to turn them off to sleep!! Thankfully HN has taken them back and replaced them with Vintecs. Show details

Husky alfresco fridge overpriced and no good – Fridge located underbench and away from any sunlight. Struggled to maintain cold temperature on warm days, fan and thermostat failed after 2 years (outside warranty) and repaired. Condenser coils cleaned regularly. Continued to perform poorly, unable to keep constant temperature or even get to the set point, always running very hot even when out… Read more

from underbench. Two adjustable feet have broken and after 3 years unable to chill down below 10C. Everything failing (except the internal light) and replaced with a Schmick.

Crashed after 3 years – A common theme of the reviews is that this product has major issues around 3 to 4 years. Noisy, yes it is but I’m lucky it’s outside. My issue that after 3 years wouldn’t cool. Contacted service team. 165 to attend. Condenser and fan gone 265 to replace. Warranty they don’t want to know you. Anyway my review and the many other tell the… Read more

Expensive rubbish! – The fridge is noisy and inefficient - the compressor has died exactly on the 5 year mark turning it into a heater and not repairable!!! Show details

Noisy – Very disappointed with how noisy the fridge is. Good thing it's not next to a bedroom. There is a continual sound coming from the fridge so makes the kitchen area not a pleasant place to be. I see Husky say it's an outside fridge. It's not promoted as an outside and the sales person at Harvey Norman did not inform us it was an outside fridge. Show details

Too noisy! – We have two of these in our house, each in a separate area, and they are both very noisy. Called Husky and they said nothing can be done about it. I'd recommend that you buy something else instead. Show details

Stopped working after 3 years – This fridge had been reliable when it was working but died after 3 years. I would expect more life out of a premium brand. If I was only expecting 3 years life would've bought a cheaper brand Show details

This fridge is very disappointing . Be careful! – This fridge is terrible. The fridge is noisy and runs continuously. Furthermore, it will not cool below 3 degrees and takes forever to get to that point. We have contacted Harvey Norman Commercial ( supplier) who did not help. They said “ we should have been aware we were buying a commercial product” ( funny about that, it’s advertised as domestic… Read more

alfresco fridge ).We also connected the Husky rep. His only suggestions were “ only turn it on a day before you need to use it as it’s expensive to run” and “ try mounting it on a rubber pad” and “ why would you want it to run at lower than 3 degrees anyway?”

It’s very disappointing and feel the product is have it located in our BBQ alfresco area and while it’s on, it’s quite offputting when trying to hold a conversation.

The lack of support is equally annoying. There is possibly something wrong with it however Husky will not send a technician to look at it

Need help – The fridge used to maintain a reasonable temperature but not great. It is a bit on the loud side. Its easy to clean and look through. My problem is thar the compressor burnt out according to repairer this was caused by a leaking gas pipe sealed inside the unit, unfortunately, this pipe can't be accessed and therefore the fridge can't be fixed. Not… Read more

Great Product, Great Value for Money – We bought this fridge for use in an office for Friday night happy hour. The main reason we decided on this fridge was look, we didn't want a fridge that was going to be ugly and also lockable doors. The fridge has kept all of the beers and wine to perfect temperature, the adjustable shelves have also come in handy with beers coming in all shapes and sizes.  Show details ·  1

Husky ALF C1 840 Al Fresco Bar Fridge – My unit ran continuously & made such a loud noise we had to turn it off As delivered, all the outside metal areas were covered with a protective plastics film - it took 2 H-N men 2 hours on site to peel-off the film - incompletely! Husky International service was very poor but Harvey-Norman refunded all when they heard of my troubles. We now… Read more

dont buy this – Protective film on unit as delivered is impossible to remove without disassembling the whole unit into sub-assemblies Extremely noisy - had to be turned off at night to enable sleep The compressor runs continuously - no cycling 'on' & 'off' Complicated electronic thermostat
