Just amazing! – I pretty much use this unit daily with my work and I just can't fault it. Runs like a dream, tough durable blades, easy to handle when trimming high branches and starts super easily. I probably spent a little more than I usually would for a pole trimmer, from memory around $1300 but its without any regrets and worth every cent. 5 out of 5 stars.
Purchased for $1,300.
Good machine, but articulating head is poorly designed – I work as a professional gardener and was lent this from another gardener to try. First of all the engine on this machine preformed perfectly as expected. I've used Husky chainsaws before and they are fine machines. Secondly, the cutting head preformed quite well. Clean and efficient in the few hedges I trimmed that day. The main and only compliant is the very poorly designed articulating head for the cutter bar. I own a Stihl HL-KM 135° Hedge trimmer. A key feature with this system is the articulating head. The Husqvarna shares this feature. While the Stihl has preset configurations the Husky is relatively free in its movement. While using the Stihl I often freely adjust the articulation on the fly while trimming. During the day that I used the Husky I needed to adjust the articulation on the fly. I adjusted the articulation as I would with the Stihl, and in the process the cutter bar freely folded into itself, breaking my finger.
While I at first cursed my bad luck/stupidity, on reflection I believe the poor design of the articulating head is the primary fault. If adjusting the articulation on the ground I do not think that it would be a problem. Although as time is money for me I want to be able to adjust as quickly, accurately, and most important safely as possible. I do not believe that this product met those needs.
I do concede that the owners manual may or may not say on how to operate the articulation on the fly, but I don't know. Good engine and blades Poorly designed articulating head
Very good trimmer – I had a Redmax pole trimmer I've been using since 1995. Then the company was purchased by Husqvarna and they stopped making replacement parts for Redmax (sound familiar). So I went and bought the 327HE4x and give it a try. To my surprise this machine went through the hedges like butter and although being on the heavier side, starts easy, and cuts well. Love the articulating head! very large blades allow for greater cutting ability Expensive - $600USD
