What is it about the 120x lithium battery BMS that allows you to use the AGM setting on a Projecta 2500 intelli charge and how does it handle the float charging from the charger.

Hi,

Is there a particular setting for a Projecta intelli-charge 7 stage 25amp to charge 2 x 120ah Itechworld batteries in a caravan? I know it cant be calcium but what about "supply" vs "AGM"?

Cheers.

I have a new 120x iTech battery with my Victron 1600w inverter. I use a 1000w microwave and battery shuts down after 20secs. I use my 2 year old 120amp AGM with same inverter and microwave runs a treat. Do I need to change any settings to accomodate the lithium battery to get this microwave to work. Thanks

It's because there batteries are garbage I had one put a 30 amp draw on it for 10 minutes it goes into safe mode time and time again it was nearly out of warranty so they tried to blame it on all my other gear like my redarc bcdc charger so they strung me along for a couple of months to wait out the warranty I chucked it and got a good brand amptron handles everything I throw at it you get what you pay for no more cheap garbage for me I learnt my lesson make of that what you will good luck getting and decent service out of them

Hi Mike,

Please call 08 9472 7200 for support. 1x iTECH120X can handle a 2000 Watt inverter so it should be able to handle 1600 Watts with a microwave. We will get it sorted for you.

itechworld
itechworld   DM

Hi Brian, Thanks for reaching out. That will depend on the size of the battery and the items you are running off the battery in the motorhome. If you can send an email to service@itechworld.com.au with the specifications of the appliances you are using, we give you some more specific information.

Kind Regards,

I run a Victron 3000-watt inverter, 580-watt solar on 2 x 120x batteries and run separately a 900-watt microwave, 1000-watt toaster, 1800-watt sandwich toaster, and 1800-watt kettle while running a 12v fridge without issue. The only issue is when the temp drops to near 0 then the BMS shuts down the system.

Ring itech direct they are very knowledgeable. We have a Bmpro management system and we just removed the AGM batteries and the itech ones went straight in. Not a problem.

I'm looking at putting Itech into my new plate boat, single Yamaha 300 and will run Redarc BCDC1250D with 200 watt solar. The 1420 pro for starter and two 120X for house battery's. I know both battery's have a XP67 rating but I have read so many bad reports on water damage with them???? Or do I pay the extra and go Endrive? Any information would be much appreciated

Hi Jason,

The iTECH120X and iTECH1420CA batteries have an IP rating and are perfect for boats. Some of our other batteries have low IP ratings and are not waterproof.

Please explain Itechworld

Itech would dont respond to issues. They are not waterproof. Or resistant to heat.

Hi Anpac I have been looking further into Itechworld and their advertising of lithium batteries. They are saying that the 100AH is suitable for boats and yachts. Can you imagine how much moisture the batteries would be exposed to

Just take note, the 120 is only a 105AH battery C20 Rating usable amps 10v: 105Ah

itechworld
itechworld   DM

Yes, correct. This information is readily available on our website, 105 usable ah is available out of the 120 ah present. We reserve a portion of our battery on purpose. We call this safe mode, it protects the battery from becoming damaged from being over-discharged.
