Jayride

To all travellers, travel agents and brokers don’t use this platform for booking airport transfers. They owe millions of dollars to their suppliers from last year early 2024. They took the booking and payment from travellers and after completion of transfers they didn’t pay the suppliers. Every day chasing for payment and Transport manager always comes up with excuses. Use other platforms available. Jayride is slavery and a scam.
Should be zero stars. Do not use this company. I arrived at Dominican Republic. Instead of being greeted, I was told via email and WhatsApp to go to the Uber pick up point. This is not signposted. Walking around/back and forth in the sun for about 30 mins. I found the Uber pick up spot. My company was not there. I then had 2 Ubers calling… Read more
me/somehow they had an Uber booked through my Uber account. I had not made this Uber booking. I refused the Ubers, which can be problematic in DR. I managed to call the company (which cost £18) and they told me the taxi service wasn’t coming and so they’d provided the Uber instead. This was not agreed to prior by me- I’d booked a pick up with a greet. They refunded the fare as I refused to accept the Uber. By the way, the Uber were also asking me to pay in cash. I then had to pay almost twice as much to get a taxi to the hotel, after spending a stressful hour in the airport, and a lot more money. Safe yourself the hassle and use another company.
My friend had a similar experience when she arrived separately (we’d both booked our taxis through this company). Her driver cancelled directly and told her Jayride had not been paying the drivers which was why they had not turned up. She hasn’t received a refund and so paid twice for her trip.
SCAM WARNING: Do NOT drive for them, they steal money from drivers! Still waiting for my unpaid hard-earned money in Malaysia for years. Why does your company ignore small partners while claiming success?

Driver cancelled on the day of arrival and was charged $244 for airport transfer from Hobart to city
Jayride more than a disappointment – I wish I had read these reviews before using Jayride. Our experience was also one of feeling ripped off! The transfer company convinced us we had given a different address than the place we wanted to go (there are 2 Playa Bejucos in Costa Rica). They claimed that where we wanted to go was going to take much longer to get there so it would be an… Read more
extra $120USD cash only, plus the same for the return ride. I checked our records after we arrived at our condo and had a night’s rest. The address had not changed. It was the same as the one I had given, and that was on our receipt from the company. Jayride would take no responsibility. We finally cancelled and found another transport company just days before we had to leave.
ABSOLUTELY USELESS – Chose Jayride and paid more than other companies before it would have a welcome service - meaning a driver with my name on it waiting for me on arrival. Received email that I would receive a time of pickup before my flight after making payment online. No email came before I boarded my flight so I hoped for the best. On arrival my driver never… Read more
turned up so after 1.5 hrs of waiting I called Jayride. Phone got cut after 15mins of explaining what was going on. I called again and the lady I spoke to then told me the company Jayride had organised for pickups had multiple complaints on the day and she was aware of the issue... my FIRST issue here is if you know the company you booked wasnt picking up other travellers why not already have another company booked for the rest. She told me she would try and get me an UBER. I informed her that in Cancun, Ubers are not allowed in the airport but she wanted to try anyways and call me back. While all this was happening my wife was talking to Mexico transport staff who were trying to get hold of the pick up company... but guess what, they weren't answering. Jayride called me back to let me know that Uber wasn't available in the airport (oh what a surprise!) and that she would organise a refund. By then I could only get a taxi from the airport which was more than double what I was meant to pay with Jayride - thats my SECOND issue.
2 weeks later no refund but then jayride finally emailed me to let me know they were going to refund me.... not sure why this wasn't done immediately. Thats my THIRD issue. They told me they couldnt do anything about the extra money I paid, that it wasn't their responsibility.
IF I COULD GIVE 0 STARS I WOULD. JAYRIDE DIDN'T CONFIRM, DIDNT DO ANYTHING WHEN THEY LEARNED THE COMPANY THEY HAD ORGANISED WAS NOT DOING PICKING UP OTHER TRAVELLERS, COULDNT FIND ME A REPLACEMENT, TOOK 2 WEEKS TO START THE REFUND PROCESS THEN TOLD ME IT WASN'T THEIR RESPONSIBILITY.
DO YOURSELF A FAVOUR AND STAY FAAAR AWAY FROM THEM!
Scammers – So I originally booked via this company. Long story short. Company they booked me with failed to collect me and I had to get a taxi back to the airport. Jayride were initially really good about it and offered me not only a full refund but also a discount on my next booking. Almost 2 weeks later and still no refund. I've emailed them 3 times… Read more
without any response. Because of both theirs and the second company Redy2Go, a return trip from Sydney airport/City/Airport cost me $120. Avoid both companies at all costs. They'll both tell you send the details in and they'll sort it but they simply ignore it.

Jayride trying really hard to please – I recently used Jayride to book a van to take my group of 6 family members from Bali airport including meet and greet to our villa in Seminyak . The service and price was excellent ,We should have booked return trip at the same time . I have been using Jayride since pre covid and watched the company slowly improve the quality of drivers they use… Read more
. I’m a shareholder of Jayride but didn’t use the shareholder discount because my wife booked and I forgot to tell her about it !
Fantastic! Thanks guys – We booked a private car service from Sydney airport to our hotel at Darling Harbour and the service was professional and first class from start to finish. The meet and greet was a nice added option as the driver met with us at baggage claim, assisted with our luggage and escorted us directly to the car. Highly recommend.
Driver on time, no issues whatsoever – My experience was very different. I booked a transfer from a regional area in NSW to Sydney airport (over 1 hour drive). The driver was on time (even 15minutes before), very helpful and professional. He even took toll route which is more expensive (there was no extra charge for the toll) explaining that our time and comfort is important.… Read more
Completely stress free experience, highly recommended.
My review is really of OZ Private Tours booked from Jayride site, not Jayride itself. It is possible that if you book service from the Jayride Web and use different company your experience may be very different. When booking I would very much recommend checking reviews for a specific company you are considering. Jayride does not directly provide cars and drivers, they are a firm who arranges transactions between you and another firm, which you select from Jayride Web page.

JAYRIDE IS PRACTICING SLAVERY – Jayride is a scam company that use suppliers all over the world and they do not pay them, resulting in having no taxi after you booked and paid. DEFINITELY NOT BOOKING THEM AGAIN AND SHOULD HARE READ TGE REVIEWS FIRST.
Jayride not paying their contractor – Please don’t book with Jayride. Jayride taking money but not paying the small business that doing the transfers for Jayride.

Garbage, do not use – Garbage company. Was contracted with them as an independent transport company, they have now ignored my contract and are being run by a totally different company called cars on demand and all jobs go to them.

What a waste of money. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! – We just returned from Hawaii where we used Jayline (who on-sends the actual transfer to another company) as we had 6 people and so a lot of luggage and were worried about getting it all into an Uber. Arrive in Hawaii to no one there. Our phones were not working so we asked a local taxi driver if he would call them for us. They tell us they don't… Read more
have a booking for us. 5 mins later while we are trying to work out what to do, they call back as they had found the booking. They tell us to use the taxi and they will pay him. Fine, we stuff us all into the taxi, thankfully getting our luggage to fit and make it to the airport. Our return airport transfer is also with them. They emails tell us when our flight is but not when pick up will be. We try email and their instant chat 3 times to find out and go nowhere. Arrive home and ask for a refund (happy to pay what was paid to the taxi driver) and no, they got us to the hotel so not happening. Paid $141 instead of a taxi so we wouldn't have the stress and worry, just like the website says. Instead we end up with a $35 taxi.
HORRIBLE – Do not use this (JayRide aka Sydney Super Shuttle) company is a scam They charged my card for both pick up from airport and return. I called and spoke to someone 24 hours before arriving. Once I arrived. I called several times. They never answered. I had to take a taxi to the hotel and pay again. This is ABSOLUTELY terrible. To leave someone in… Read more
the cold and dark. When I called the guy from the taxi cab drivers phone he answered. I'm pist. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY. 7-19-2024
THEY RIPPED ME OFF TWICE!!!!
Slow decent into terrible – As an operator I wpuld not reccomend Jayride at all. They do not support drivers and always blame them for booking errors. Constant changes to terms and conditions. Payouts take months and are delayed. Avoid.
No-Show - Do not Use – Booked them for a transfer in Bali. No contact from the service provider, no one turned up, had to make last minute alternative arrangements. Refund request refused. Do not use!
This service is a scam - please avoid! – This service is a scam. I booked a one-way ride from the Indianapolis airport to a hotel up by Carmel, for my brother who was in town from out of state. The driver did not show, and after about 20 minutes, my brother ended up catching another Uber. The driver called my brother 45 minutes after he left the airport and said she was ready for pick… Read more
up. Seriously? All of the flight info was submitted as requested, so there was no question as to when he would be arriving.
My brother and I both have contacted Jayride FOUR TIMES, and have had no resolution. I prepaid $107, which was super expensive, but I thought “it’s my brother…” and I splurged. Big mistake. My brother grabbed another Uber on site and paid $50.
We have written, and called, and have had no resolution or assistance. The company outsources customer service to another country (I am guessing India based on dialect, but who knows) so it is a little tricky to communicate too.
My brother was able to speak with one representative who stated they cannot find the booking - funny, they took my money, but can’t find the booking - how convenient.
Frankly, I think this agency is a scam and I plan to spread the word as much as I can. PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS SERVICE.
Price Gouging Website – Trip quote with Jayride $180 One Way. A simple search online $80 for the same services Jayride use, paying direct to business owner. Don't be an idiot and support these price gouging websites. You can get a more reliable service direct with the owner operator, without the huge markup (Double the fee?).
Refund refused but THEIR error !!! – While in Istanbul I needed to reserve a ride to the airport from my hotel. On the Jayride website I went through the process and booked the ride - and hit 'CONFIRM' Their website took me back to the same page and again asked me to CONFIRM so I did. I ended up with TWO reservations for the SAME ride at the SAME time on the SAME day. I immediately… Read more
contact support and requested a refund of the duplicate. Got a message saying that a refund was not an option because the reservation was made less than 48 hours in advance (dumb rule to begin with but OBVIOUSLY cannot apply in this case). Sent an email to support but got no reply. 4 days later, because both charges are still on my card I contacted support again, via chat and via email. I got 2 more responses saying that I was not eligible for a refund because the journey was not booked more than 48 hours in advance. Their support operation is apparently unable to read or make simple decisions when the error was caused BY THEIR WEBSITE !!!
Do Not Use Jayride (ABN 49 155 285 528) Or You Will Regret It! – Booked airport transfer Denpasar-Ubud and return. Driver and vehicle a no show. Called the number given with no response. Took the transfer with another organization. Assumed the return would be a no show too and returned with another transfer outfit. Jayride claim that the driver was in fact waiting. Hotel front desk had no knowledge of this. We… Read more
assumed because there had been a no show the first time there would be a no show the second time - a not unreasonable assumption. The laughable point now is Jayride has debited our account for the return transfer!

jayride don't deliver – Booked a ride from Mayfair to Gatwick for 2 people, 5am pickup. Reconfirmed the pickup time 2 days prior, and had email confirmation. In the dark, on the side of the road, no transfer car arrived. The local phone number given by Koi , the transfer company, did not connect, so, of course we needed to go through the company that we had booked with,… Read more
and had taken our money, Jayride. 3 phone calls and no help, so we had no option but to hail a taxi. The ride cost more than we had paid with Jayride, but they have only refunded what we paid them. Apparently we have to argue the refund of the excess that we paid, with the transfer company, who we have had no dealings with. Of course no answer. Jayride then cancelled our trip after the refund and left no opportunity to leave a review. Found out a week later that the driver was delayed. Jayride had our UK phone number so no reason that they could not contact us. I would not hesitate to tell people to avoid Jayride at all costs, save stress and disappointment.
It was like a coaster ride at a fun park – We are waiting for our shuttle and it never came until we were calling Jayride to find out were it was. The step on the shuttle was broken so you had to jump down and a large women couldn’t sit up straight because of the seat belt. When she had reached her stop because of the broken step the large woman had to jump down but she fell over in the… Read more

Beware! if it is too good to be true… – Beware if it is too good to be true…. We booked our airport transfers through Jayride in July and travelled in all confidence with our confirmation booking documents from Jayride. But when we got to the airport nobody was waiting for us. After a wait and phone calls, the taxi driver came to tell us that our booking (£30) was an error and we… Read more
would have to pay £140 for the transfer to our hotel. The same thing happened for the return transfer when we had to pay £110 instead of the (£30) we had paid. After numerous email exchanges Jayride refunded the £60 transfer booking but all in all this transfer cost us £310 and we are now £250 out of pocket. We have been patient and in spite of promises no refund has been forthcoming. I have all written documentation for this and I am taking legal advice. No need to say I will never use them again. BEWARE!
Scam company - do not book!!! – Jayride is a scam. Do not book with them. I booked transfers through them and I was left stranded at the airport with young kids and no ride - and they stole my money. I tried to get a refund to which they refused, and told me to lie and defraud my travel insurance company to seek compensation. For my troubles, they offered me a petty 10% discount on my next booking so I can get scammed again. Do not book through them, they are a scam!
Deceptive and scam – As I read other reviews about this company, I find myself in the same situation as others. This company is deceptive and boarders on scamming people. They never indicated that they are just a third party broker who takes your money and then finds a real transposition company. I booked a return ride from the hotel to the airport on Jamaica through… Read more
Jayride. A day before my scheduled trip I still had not received any email confirming my ride and giving me details of the time to meet. I called and was given the run around by Jayride but eventually they gave me a phone number of the company that was suppose to actually pick me up. No explanation of why o never received an email. I had to cancel the ride though Jayride and book alternative transportation since no one contacted me. Jayride refused to give me a refund and I had to dispute it on my credit card. Stay far away!!
Wish I had read this first – I booked a transfer (cost of $108), but booked a wrong time for the day so I accidentally cancelled the booking and immediately contacted Jayride (2 days before the booking), explaining the accident and I received a message saying sorry your money is lost no opportunity to change the time on the same day. Be aware and do not book with this company.
Do not use this service!!!!!! – Fake advertising that they have child seats. Charged me $62 and unable to provide service. Don’t waste your time or money! They said the only way to travel was with our own car seat which is ridiculous as we are travelling through Perth.
Avoid them! – We booked airport pickup at Queenstown, New Zealand. Upon arrival, we rang the phone number according to the instruction, but we couldn't get hold of anyone and ended up waiting in the cold for over 20 minutes, on hold and anxious. When eventually someone answered the phone, they simply just called a Uber (the Uber driver confirmed it). We could… Read more
