JS Pier Pony 4'10 – Good Board. Takes a few surfs to get used to as it was so small length wise. I have the 4'10" and am 5'7 62kg. Good planing speed and easy to turn. It seems to work better in fuller cleaner waves which break out the back then you can cruise and cutback all the way to the shoreline. On suckier or even mushier heavier sections it might struggle to fit in the pocket. You may even slide, losing speed on take off, but you will regain that speed once you are on the face going across the wave. It is flat like a ironing board and sometimes you will bury the nose after a critical manoeuvre. It cutbacks well and can get above the lip when required. I give it 4 stars. Planing Speed. Manoeuvrable Due to it's width and doesn't fit in the pocket like a shortboard Groveller. As such you might lose speed on take off
