Cheap and Good Full HD Camcorder – Hi all, I've been using the JVC GZ-E10B HD Everio Camcorder for two weeks. It performs all it's duties well. The standard 700mAh battery lasts 50mins to 1 hr max. I got a bonus 1400mAh battery free from Harvey Norman and this lasts up to 2hours max. Paid $228. I like -Excellent and Awesome low light performance from the BIS CMOS sensor.… Read more

Sometimes it is has a brighter image than with the human eye. Very little grain at low light and colour saturation is down somewhat, but very very acceptable. Easily the best video camera I've ever used in terms of low light performance. If you take a lot of indoor video, this is the budget Full HD camera for you!

-Full HD 1080 60p. High resolution recording at 60 hertz progressive scan.

-Excellent image stabiliser

-Good 40x zoom... although at the max zoom, picture is shaky even with image stabilization.

-Bright, clear and colourful picture in good light.

I don't like

-fiddly menu buttons, but only used rarely.

-1.5 Meg censor.... not true Full HD, so picture is not as sharp as it could be for a full HD camera. Still very very acceptable as I watch the result on a Sony Full HD 1080p projector with a 100 inch picture.... yes ...100 inch!!!

-Slight lens flaring and a light purplish hue... you'd hardly notice unless pointed out.

-Files saved as mts format.

-no still camera mode,so no built in light or flash.

For a cheap camera, the ergonomics and build quality is Good... no complaints.
