Good cleaning performance but design flaw caused premature failure – 5yrs old. Rubber hose to pump no hose clamp fitted. Hose came off under mains pressure twice in 10 minutes, causing pump to run dry for a couple of minutes damaging the pump. Karcher quote $672

Way better than the cheapies – I got my one off gumtree BNIB for $370 so I was happy ($900 plus at SCA). It really makes a great difference for most household / semi commercial jobs. Car cleaning, paths, houses, garden cleanups etc are all eaten up by this machine. The Honda engine is very easy to start and reliable as anything. At 2800 psi, it is strong but there are bigger machines. It struggles a little with black mold on concrete. It comes with the 5 different spray nozzles - but I usually only use the one 15 degree one. A surface washer attachment (a number of different brands are suitable) is a good additional investment.
There are a couple of improvements that could be made;
The handle comes off for transport, but the connections are not quick or secure (mine vibrate out with use)
The exhaust gets hot and there is no protective cover - hence you must be careful not to tangle the hose or anything against it which is often not at front of mind when working on something
The wheels are plastic and starting to show sign of wear (less than 12 months use)
The pressure gun mount is hopeless
The hose has nowhere to go or be stored - a winder would have been nice
Overall however I am very happy with the machine, and looking at its bigger brother with 3000psi, pneumatic tyres and steel wheels as my next upgrade.

cold-start procedure correctly. I always let it warm up a little before I put it to full throttle, and it has NEVER ever failed me. Even if I run out of petrol, applying the choke to restart is easy to get it going again, maybe on the second pull of the cord. Used correctly, it has always done the job required, without fuss or breakdown. If I have a couple of minor complaints, the handle rattles a lot and the exhaust is a bit noisy, but otherwise, it's a great machine. I would have no hesitation in recommending the Karcher 3200 psi G 3200 Petrol Pressure Washer.
Follow-up · I have not bought or used any after-market accessories, but I have used all the attachments that came with the machine; the detergent release works as expected, but really, the detergent is a little disappointing. Kärcher + Honda = Quality + Reliability – Bought this machine new for $599 and has surpassed all my expectations. Feed it clean unleaded and make sure the oil is topped up and will give you a Continuous 3400psi all day long. My last job was 5hrs cleaning concrete pavers. Good just not the knockout I was expecting – I will be honest I purchased my unit as a warranty return (Fixed) from Bunnings. Not sure on the actual hours used when I received it but the oil was very black so I flushed with clean 10-30 grade oil let it drain and topped up with fresh oil. trigger gun, I find it quite uncomfortable to hold after a while. Only other real complaint is the engine block is mounted directly on the metal body and makes it hard to drain oil without making one hell of a mess. Maybe a rubber mounting plate to lift the motor a bit would have been a better option. Hoping to be able to get a different model trigger gun for it for prolonged use.

Pull starts).
Whats wrong with it ? The Pump is now needing some TLC but after a hundred hours and 10 years of little treatment all there is it show is the rusty retaining plate on the pump. Engine The Muffler has blown out a baffle giving it a F1 sound but apart from that the Right Tyre Inner tube needs some TLC.
Does it do the Job? Yes It still puts out sufficient pressure to spin the surface cleaner.
Would I buy it again ? YES
On the other hand the Low Spec (1/3 the price) CERTA KOGAN replacement has the worst Choke and has blown a PUMP literally breaking the Hex Bolts.
and It wont start if the pressure wand is not released, So you have to start it one handed.

rear if a cattle truck that took close to 2 hours. The machine is on fixed revs. Or perhaps I am not aware of how to adjust the revs. Always found it easy to start and easy to use. The gun trigger is in 2 spots on the handle which helps a lot to prevent aches etc in the hands. I have carpel tunnel issues so this helps a lot. There was a period where pressure became poor intermittently. This resolved when a mesh filter on the hose was cleaned. Unfiltered water from a farm dam servicing the house garden was used and the filter was very clogged
Works well – Purchased item today and spent 3-4 hours cleaning concrete driveway. Very pleased with results and ease of use. No negatives that I can note having had two K5’s. drain plug is situated over the trolley. The gun trigger is hard and jolts to press but the gun is easy to hold and maintain stability. The soap dispenser nozzle has no pressure behind it and only showers detergent over items such as a vehicle. An optional pump drain gadget suggests the pump can rust. The pump has an overheat protection. Great buy backed with Karcher 2 year warranty and spares.

purchased and this was one of them so I guess I’m out of luck and need to find something more reliable I have since been asked to contact Karcher with absolutely no response so it appears I’m on my own as they are not interested in helping you once your have purchased their lacklustre products
Update 2: I was asked to provide my case number and email so they could follow it up and once again I’ve been ignored after responding to that. They pretend to care and then just ignore you. Somehow their after sales service is worse than their products, it’s impressive how bad they are.
Poor quality – Looks like the water inlet fitting is poor all-round. Mine has broken too. Please send me a new one immediately. Our local dealer has dropped Karcher so we have no local services.

Plastic garden hose connection – I purchased my machine yesterday because I needed a pressure washer with a 15 mtr hose. Also powered by Honda was a bonus. Used for 10 minutes and the plastic garden hose connection snapped off. Very disappointed. This should be brass. The thread is an unusual size. later, their technician try's to tell me it's poor quality fuel NO WARRANTY and have to pay for the repair before can get it back 2 more weeks and a lot of calls later Karcher released the unit back to us and said they would not charge as GOOD WILL thing they gave it back
After putting up with attitude from the service technician we got it back, went to use it and guess what would not start

Very poor quality – I purchased mine from Total Tools in Toowoomba March 2022. I have used it 3 times and the inlet fitting for the garden hose snapped. It is plastic. It is a very unusual fitting and I can't buy one anywhere. It should be made of brass not plastic. Absolutely rubbish and even worse customers services – I used this machine 3 times. Amazing when working – Have had my unit for 5 years has been fantastic when running. Have twice had to replace valves in pump and now have died again for the 3rd time. soaked. I’ve contacted total tools Narre Warren six times, first in store and the rest by phone. First time was told a replacement would be ordered straight away. Second time they couldn’t find any record of my order, third time they had talked to karcher rep and it was going to be ordered. Forth time it hasn’t turned up yet so had to contact karcher rep but he was on holidays. Fifth time total tools said maybe he forgot to send it. Sixth time they still don’t know where it is. Now this is coming up to three months and I’m still getting a shower when I use my $2600 pressure washer. I’m rating this as some pretty bad service from karcher and total tools! Ps. I used it for around four hours straight the first time cleaning a large paved area. I found it had an oil leak between the engine and pump from the seal. I changed the oil as it states in the manual to do after the first five hours. Haven’t seen any more oil yet but it hasn’t had another long session yet.
Bad High Pressure – I bought this pressure weeks ago in Bunnings. week later I'm in the shed and notice rust forming around the exhaust cowling screws - What, seems the cowling is made of lightly painted mild steel, surely Karcher can do better than this, what else is going to rust out I say to myself. Yes I will take your money ,no I dont care after that – Put a tank of fuel through worked well ,refuelled it and kept on cleaning until suddenly the hose burst open and that was it . Returned hose to dealer and was told I had touched it on exhaust and we dont care you will have to get a new one . Great washer – Not sure why they give you a 12mm hose fitting when they recommend a 16mm plus hose. Didnt need the bigger hose. Doesn't come with a turbo nozzle but does clean very well and has a lot of pressure. Handle would not attach tightly. Pity it doesn't have a hose winder. Concrete destroyer – Excellent machine for removing built up crap, had mine for 4 years now and hasn't missed a beat apart from me having detergent hose to close to exhaust and it melting, starts first time, be careful of zero degree nozzle, it is very unforgiving when it comes to concrete. Just a bit of feedback, if you're finding it hard to pull start, as in quite a bit of resistance check out you tube video for exhaust rocker repair. Show details
Be careful – I borrowed my mates one of these and used the pencil thin nozzle to blast weeds out of the cracks in paving. It did a great job, but I was not noticing that the ricochet water was also taking off the powder coat from the pool fence !! So use the flatter wider nozzle and be safe, other than that very powerful !!
Starts first pull every time – I have had all sorts of Karcher cleaners over the years. This is the first petrol one though. Previous electric cleaners have been restrictive as I have a large house with plenty of pavers and towing around an electrical cord was both cumbersome and dangerous.
