Its CRAP – Big bucks for a flagship device with NO support and NO map updates. Android Auto drops out when it gets some interference from street security or street cameras. So useless in the city using Google Maps. I just want to use the inbuilt maps . Now i get popup message telling me crap I already know and hate. YOUR MAPS ARE OUT OF DATE. No shoot! It's like Kenwood wants to annoy consumers off. For the features you can actually use. Might as well buy a cheaper head unit or brand. Kenwood Blows!

Purchased in for $2,300.

Good media and radio, not so good navigation system – AM/FM/DAB+/CD/USB/Bluetooth all work well. Slow to power on, but I can live with it. Sounds great, really a good improvement over the stock head unit (installed in a Ford Ranger). Wireless Android Auto will often crash but USB works. I think this is a common problem but doesn't make it any easier to put up with. I'm on the latest firmware as of writing this (released April 2021) and have used three different model phones. If you are driving any distance, use the USB. The lack of map updates is terrible considering price of the unit. Yes, I can use maps on Android Auto instead (refer warning re: reliability of wireless Android Auto), but I chose this unit specifically because of the inbuilt nav. All this considered, I would say it was a poor purchase - the navigation is literally the stand-out feature of this unit over other, cheaper units and map updates are critical to a decent nav system. Next time I'll just buy a non-nav unit and use Android Auto. Maybe that will work acceptably by that time?

Purchased in at Automotive Superstore for $2,300.

TERRIBLE SERVICE and EXPENSIVE GPS MAPS – bought a kenwood DNX9190DABS cost nearly $2000 has 2 year old maps cant update online have to buy from kenwood cost $220 wont be available till march they only update once a year had DNN9350BT could buy maps online around $25 was easy and cheap but greedy kenwood and garmin have changed the format it would seem and now those maps don't work both companies are unhelpful so will never recommend or purchase kenwood device again might as well buy $100 unit and get free map updates every 3 months for life
