I visited the Klook website and app, as they usually offer good deals on activities in Japan. I was excited to see a 50% discount today, as advertised, but I also encountered some misleading listings. I accidentally booked a tour and had to cancel it since I had booked another one beforehand; this was my mistake. Klook refunded only the booking… Read more

fee for the tour, but I realized I had selected the insurance. According to their policy, they couldn't refund that, despite it being less than 10 minutes since the booking. I find this difficult to understand—although they offered a 30% Klook credit as a goodwill gesture, I still feel I was ripped off. I hope your business practices improve, as some advertisements can be confusing or misleading. Booking number: RNF891550.

The ad from Klook clearly states that winter tires are included with my reservation. However, the rental company charged me extra for that. The rental company said that many other customer were mislead by Klook and that it was Klook's fault. Klook later admitted guilt saying that the ad was in fact misleading. Despite that, Klook still refuses to… Read more

refund the extra cost for winter tires. I have lodged multiple complaints and hoping for a fair resolution.

0 Star Review if ai could Please Read Before Booking If this can save just one person from stress and wasting a night on holiday. I’ll be happy. I really wish I could recommend Klook, but my experience was incredibly stressful and ruined one of my final nights in Japan. I booked a food tour for two people costing $271.40. We arrived early at… Read more

the meeting point shown directly on the Klook listing map and emails sent to you, we waited, and no guide ever arrived. We met another guest who was also waiting, I was told the tour “went ahead without me,” even though I had timestamped photos, chat screenshots, call logs, and a photo standing with the other guest who was also stranded.

There was no direct way to contact Klook. Calling meant the phone rang out and going through there chat help part meant waiting for ages in a very long queue to have someone on the other end who couldn’t help and said someone else would “email in a few days.” Their online agent couldn’t reach the guide, gave no help, and told me to email the operator myself. So I did, The tour operator, not knowing Klook had put up the incorrect meeting point. Argued that it went ahead without us and only when they released the information that we spoke to the other lady that was completely stuffed around by this then understood that they had to contact Klook and let them know of the address stuff up on there end.

They spoke to Klook and said about them having the wrong address and told them to contact me which never happened (kept having to try to contact them) But the next day when I checked and they had changed the address so you know they got the information and just left me sitting there not know what was going on.

After ages of worry, and trying to communicate with this awful company, Klook finally agreed to refund me — but then tried to refund less than I paid, leaving out the insurance I had purchased. I had to chase that too, even though the cancellation was entirely due to their mistake.

In the end, the whole thing was far too stressful, and losing one of my last nights in Japan was upsetting. This experience left me feeling ignored, unsupported, and treated unfairly at every stage.

Please be cautious booking with Klook. If something goes wrong, you may have to fight hard to get your money back. For me, it simply wasn’t worth the stress.

On 28 June 2025, we booked a train ticket (Chapa Express - "Luxury" train operator in Vietnam) via Klook, which clearly stated amendments were allowed free of charge if made at least 30 days before the start date. On 27 July, well within this window, we requested to change the booking date. Klook then advised we would incur a cancellation fee,… Read more

contradicting their own terms.

Since then, we have repeatedly contacted the merchant to have the original terms honoured, but have received inconsistent responses. Their latest email demands we pay an unspecified amount directly to the operator upon arrival in Vietnam. This conduct is deceptive and extremely dishonest.

I booked two train tickets from Klook to return to Shinjuku Station in Tokyo from Mount Fuji. Only found out that the tickets were NOT redeemable at the train station at Mount Fuji! Very easy to book things in both Singapore and Vietnam. Easy to use, made a mistake with an order and the refund was prompt and quick even though it seemed unlikely. Will be booking many more trips with Klook. Show reply

Klook is a SCAM! They knowingly advertised a misleading “premium” concert and accommodation package, then flatly refused to refund me when the hotel room with one single bed for two unrelated male travellers provided was totally unsuitable. Their own customer service agents admitted in writing, multiple times, that the package was deceptive. And… Read more

yet they still refused to give me my money back.

Their behaviour is dishonest and manipulative. Customer service is nothing but scripted excuses, hiding behind “policy” while Klook blatantly breaches its own terms and conditions. They’ve lied to me and to the hotel involved, dragged out the process, and done everything they can to wear me down.

This is a predatory company. It cannot be trusted.

To fellow Australians: DO NOT book anything through Klook. If something goes wrong, you’ll be left out of pocket, ignored, and gaslit. I’ve now had to lodge a chargeback through my bank and am pursuing legal action to recover over $1,300 Klook refuses to return.

I purchased several train tickets for trips in Japan and it was cheaper than going onto the JR site and so easy with the QR code when purchase was confirmed and scanning the code at the ticket machines at the stations - would do again in a heartbeat. The last train of the trip was the Narita Express to catch our flight at Narita Airport. QR Code… Read more

scanned and tickets issued - arrived at platform early and basically our train and others were cancelled due to a fire on the track - we had to get to the airport and mass chaos ensued with airport travellers trying to get to Narita Airport and only other option was different train line and then catch the Skyliner Express - this would not allow us to use our Narita tickets and new tickets had to be purchased - trains were becoming unavailable due to numbers having to travel as Narita Express out of action. Contacted Klook the day we arrived home and after providing some documentation to verify the situation - a full refund of the cancelled tickets was provided within a few days. Outstanding service Klook and I will be using your services in the future. Thankyou

Under no circumstances should you use Booking.com or Klook in Japan. They're illegal in Japan. I bought a ticket for Tokyo Disney via Klook on Booking.com, but they mistakenly sent me a junior ticket. I didn't realize it because you always trust service providers, and when I arrived at Disney, I realized they had sent me the wrong ticket. There… Read more

are no physical ticket offices in Japan; everything is done online through authorized agents. I was then directed to an office, where I was told the ticket was invalid because it was for a junior ticket and I was an adult. I asked them to help me change the ticket from junior to adult, offering to pay the difference, and that's where the problems started. Booking.com and Klook are NOT authorized to sell Disney tickets, so Disney can't do anything about it. In other words, Booking.com and Klook are illegal companies in Japan. That's right. I was told the only way to resolve the situation was through the agency itself, but since Booking.com and Klook don't operate in Japan, there's no phone number. The only way is through their website by sending an email, which took forever to get a response. They said they bought the tickets from an intermediary, and there's nothing they can do. In other words, Booking.com and Klook are washing their hands of it. In the end, almost $100 USD was wasted, nobody takes responsibility, nobody helps at all, and customer service is nonexistent.

Disney told me that I've never bought anything through Booking.com or Klook in Japan under any circumstances because they aren't licensed to operate there. They buy services from Japanese agents as intermediaries, so they can't resolve any problems. This applies to hotels, plane tickets, tours, trains, etc.

Don't fall for it. A plane or train ticket is incorrectly issued, and there's no solution. Simply buy a new ticket and then complain to them well in advance, as they never respond.

Update: after 48 hours, they offered a credit for the full amount and when asked for a refund they asked for some more time. Just got the approval on it so I am re-reviewing from 1 star. alert meaning you could not be outside more than 30 mins and less if you’re elderly or a child. I have an 18 month old so I was not going to risk it. I asked for a simple change to the date to July 3 when the heat wave broke and they told me at 12PM that I needed to wait UP TO 12 hours for a response. I followed up at 5PM and they told me to wait at least the full 12 hours. I tried again at 12AM (the full 12 hours) and the third agent said it’s at least 24-48 hours I need to wait which means by the time I will likely hear from someone, we will be flying home. Awful customer service. The tickets are legit but don’t book unless you’re absolutely certain there will be no extenuating circumstances that will arise for you. Learn from me as I’m out almost $300 and got nothing but automated responses.

Super easy and stress-free! I was worried about my Australian credit card being rejected on the official Disney site, but Klook accepted it instantly. The QR codes arrived in my email within minutes, and I was able to link them to the Tokyo Disney app without any issues. Highly recommend for international travellers!

Excellent driver SUN Zhi Sheng to Mutianyu Great wall, He suggested early departure 6:30am to avoid the crowds, bypassed the great wall shuttle bus and got us VIP parking within 100m of the cable cars at Mutianyu. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves on arrival at 8:30am. Note: he has a seven seater comfortable car, took us to a local breakfast eatery halfway there, but he doesn't speak English.

My daughter recommended me to purchase train tickets from Klook Travel, which was a very good experience. Klook Travel made things lots easier by providing all important information to users, eg: refund policy; Train times; Luggage requirements, etc. Strongly recommended this site.

We used Klook Esim for India. We could not work out how to activate per phone. Lucky we had two phones and two esims. You have to scan a QR Code with your camera to activate. So we scanned each others QR Code. So one phones account was linked to the other phones usage. Don't know how you can possibly scan your own phones QR code with its camera. Absolutely the stupidest app instructions I have ever encountered. DO NOT USE.

I booked three rooms at Nannup Hotel through Klook for my family, including three children, and received a confirmed booking. of this failure in communication, there was no accommodation available in the area and we were forced to drive three hours back late at night with the kids. This caused significant inconvenience and stress for my family. This is the second time something like this has happened to me when using Klook, and it is completely unacceptable. Based on these repeated issues, I would not recommend Klook to anyone.

Bought an esim from klook for my travel to Taiwan. Pre activated the esim before leaving Australia in the hope it would work as i disembarked in Taipei. No problems after that Klook support was no use because i couldn't contact them.… Read more

When I finally received a response from them they suggested I should have asked their partner Chunghwa to sort out the Klook problem??? There was difficulty enough with language already. Buy a SIM on arrival as I have always done is the best choice. Staff at the airport are multilingual and experienced. So much easier and reliable.

I was dissatisfied with my experience. I purchased a Barcelona travel pass that included a cable car ride. Despite arriving during operating hours, the cable car station was unexpectedly closed. Since the ticket couldn’t be used, I requested a refund but was declined without a clear reason. Unfortunately, this left me with a negative impression.

I booked an eSim for Thailand which worked well however Klook then charged me for an additional eSim for USA that I did not order. I had to cancel it and request a refund for something I didn't order. I think that Klook call this a promotion. I call it unethical behaviour.

Klook customer service agents go above and beyond to help you. The range of tours, activities etc is First Class. The ability to pay in your local currency is a real bonus. If something needs clarification, you can rely on Klook to get you the information you need. That's peace of mind.

Hi all, Please don’t give these folks a hard time. After all, it’s just a humble family business run by two people… and their trusty chatbot. weeks left before my holiday, I finally managed to break through the wall of silence. The resolution? They graciously cancelled my booking and handed me 10% “Klook cash.” Not sure what that is, and honestly, who’s brave enough to trust them again?

Meanwhile, https://www.japanrailpass-reservation.net exists. It’s $200 cheaper, you can switch languages, you get immediate confirmation, and you can actually reserve seats right away. What else do you need? Maybe a chatbot that doesn’t ghost you.

Booking was great, ticketing and messages were fast. However, got a cancellation at 2am for the day we’d booked tickets to Segway from Santa Monica to Venice Beach (California, USA), advising that the operator had cancelled without reason. Called operator, they advised they don’t use Klook, and never received a booking. Thankfully refund came through promptly, so I re-booked directly through operator.
