I have used this dumbbell set every day or two for the past few years. The set works well for me. The provided case has been useful to store unused plates. For ease of my use, I keep the dumbbells assembled and add/remove plates as needed. Packing it away in its case is not necessary (for me). Occasionally the collars do work loose but it is easy enough to tighten up as needed.
Follow-up · To date, there is no rust on the plates, the grip feels as good as when I first got the kit. The plastic storage case is still in almost pristine condition showing minimal signs of wear and tear. Regarding the collars, they only seem to come loose at times while executing a curling motion. I think some Loctite may help keep them in place.
Purchased in at Kmart for $49.
Quality of Case is Lacking – the quality of the box was extremely poor, already being broken in areas when removing the dumbbells for the first time, ans breaking in others upon first use. wouldn't recommend purely for the bad quality cade.
