I’ve been using the Kmart Anko 1.7L Kettle for a while now, and I’ve been genuinely surprised by how well it performs for such an inexpensive appliance. At first glance, it presents itself with a clean, minimalist design that blends into the kitchen without trying too hard, and in day‑to‑day use it has proven to be far more capable than its price… Read more · 1

In terms of functionality, it heats water quickly and with a level of quietness that I honestly didn’t expect. The noise level is low enough that I can hold a conversation nearby without feeling like I need to pause mid‑sentence. The illuminated water window is a small but thoughtful touch, making it easy to check the fill level at a glance, and the 1.7‑litre capacity is more than enough for multiple cups without feeling bulky or cumbersome.
What has impressed me most is its consistency. It has handled regular daily use without any signs of strain, and the build quality feels sturdier than many other budget kettles I’ve owned in the past. The base connection is straightforward, the handle feels secure, and the overall balance of the kettle makes it comfortable to pour even when full.
While it’s undeniably a simple appliance, it performs its core task with a kind of quiet reliability that I’ve come to appreciate. It doesn’t pretend to be a premium designer kettle, but it also doesn’t behave like a cheap throwaway item. Instead, it sits comfortably in that sweet spot where practicality, affordability, and decent build quality meet.
For anyone looking for a no‑nonsense kettle that does exactly what it promises — and does it well — the Kmart Anko 1.7L Kettle is a surprisingly solid choice. It’s an example of how a basic household item, when designed thoughtfully, can exceed expectations without exceeding the budg
This is a dangerous appliance. Poorly balanced, lid seal is atrocious. Differcult to connect to base. But here's the house on fire feature. It TURNS IT SELF ON. Worst piece of crap I've ever bought. This should be banned in Au. Show details
Turns itself on – My Kmart kettle turns itself on without being anywhere near it. Very dangerous.. Show details

Smart, sleek and affordable – A necessity in the kitchen! It comes in at least 4 different finishes. I had a well known brand which died fairly quickly with minimal use. This is much cheaper and it’s easier to see water level. I have no complaints. Show details · 1
Great kettle and so very quiet – This kettle is well designed and easy to see the water level. As others have mentioned, the lid does not fully open with the push of the button and it needs to be fully opened by hand. Not a big issue but it would be great if that could be improved in later models. I do have a question. It is not stated if this plastic kettle is BPA free. … Read more · 3
There is nothing to say that it is on the carton or in the paper documentation in the box. Can this be confirmed by Kmart?
Be careful with Kmart reviews on products – Be careful with Kmart reviews on products, they are all good reviews and you cannot make a review on the website, clever marketing After 3 months of use, it was hard to get rid of the calcium. we did everything and used all the ideas from Google to remove it but it kept coming back. After 6 months of use, my tea and cooking recipes still contain calcium. I will not shop at Kmart again.

Great value, quiet, fast kettle – We've been looking for a quiet kettle for some time, and having tested multiple noisy brands in AirBnBs we were about to give up and just use the microwave. But the reviews for this Kmart kettle said it was quiet, so we bought one a few weeks ago. So far it has more than lived up to expectation. It is quiet enough to satisfy my noise-sensitive… Read more · 1
husband and the noise is low pitched, so not too intrusive, even when the kettle comes to the boil. It boils quickly and there are large clear windows on each side so the water level is clearly visible. The handle seems large but is easy for my smallish hands to grip and the kettle is well balanced for pouring. The only downsides from my point of view are that it wobbles a bit on the base when it boils when full, the lid on mine does not open all the way when the button is pressed - it needs a little push to click it fully open - and the blue indicator light seems much too bright. I've been using my kettle left-handed so the light is to the back! But for only $15, it's terrific value. By the way, Kmart sells two Anko kettles, this one and one for $7 (which seemed fairly flimsy), so check the box when you buy.
This is the bargain of the year right here – Recently purchased this kettle to replace what became a very noisy (and originally expensive) Russell Hobbs kettle that finally died. So I researched ‘quiet kettles' and surprisingly came across this little gem. It is much quieter, boils quickly, doesn’t look cheap, and holds plenty of water with a cool blue light indicator. The exterior does get… Read more
hot but I imagine most kettles do? So unless you are wanting to hug it as a reward for boiling then it’s not a problem. The lid doesn’t open widely to fill but enough to do the job. The best part though... $15! How can you go wrong? I would have been happy if I’d paid $50. Get it.
Great Kettle – I have been using this kettle for the last 6 months and it is the best purchase and investment I ever bought. If you ever thought about wanting or needing to replace your old kettle then I would suggest to go to kmart.com.au and search for kettle and once you start use this product, you never regret it Show details
A superior replacement for our Sunbeam cordless – This electric jug has been a real surprise. It is quiet, fast and efficient. The viewing windows on either side let you watch the water boil with the aid of a soft blue backlight. There is no exposed element to quickly corrode in Adelaide's hard water. And it only cost $15 from Kmart! Show details
Simple Cordless Kettle – We have not had a kettle for quiet some time so when I found that it may be good time to get one I chose the Anko Cordless Water Kettle from Kmart. The kettle came in black with a black base , a clear window well marked with the amount of water in cups and metric measure to 1.7 lt . The kettle is cordless so once the water has boiled the kettle… Read more
turns off and you lift it off its base , one nice touch is when you turn it on, the water view is lit with a nice blue back light. Another feature is the water filter which is removable and easy to clean , the lid opens with the press of a button when you fill it . It sits on the benchtop taking little space and in the black color looks clean and modern and at $15 dollars it is very well priced and in my opinion just as good as the more expensive ones available.
Very quiet – i bought this kettle from Kmart today, and it's very quiet compared to the one they sell for 39 dollars. It displays the level of water on both sides of the kettle. Thumbs up Kmart Show details

A Quality Bargain !!! – What a bargain from K-Mart. Very quiet and boils quickly. It has anti overboil safety system as well as a display that shows the number of cups instead of parts of a litre which is excellent. It also comes with a 3 year warrany which is awesome. Highly recommended at a great price !! Show details
