I regret purchasing the Laguiole Sophistique 24pc Cutlery Set in Ivory. While it looks attractive, the quality is disappointing. The decorative gold end caps have started coming loose and falling off, and the design traps dirt and food residue in areas that the dishwasher cannot properly clean. Keeping the cutlery hygienic requires time-consuming manual cleaning after almost every wash, which is completely impractical for everyday use. For the price, I expected much better durability and functionality. I would not recommend this product.
Purchased in at Myer for $149.
Beautiful but not durable – I have the coloured cutlery set. They are all breaking at the top, very sad because they were not cheap.

Still usable but falls apart with time – I love the design of my Laguiole cutlery set, have had ours for 5 years now and watching the pieces slowly fall apart. We put ours in the dishwasher to clean as we had the expectation of endurance and aesthetics, sadly it only delivers on one of the two.
They look great but one by one they go – We loved the French Andre Verdier Laguiole debutant cutlery. And choose the Ivory. 2 sets of knives, forks, spoons and teaspoons. Even salad utensils, cheese knives and a small set of cake forks and knives. Alas, one by one the forks and spoons go after a few years…. broken all at the same place. …..
