Laguiole by Jean Dubost Steak Knife Set

Laguiole steak knives - expensive , look good, but quality very disappointing – Im surprised to see the plastic handle snapping away from the knife body at the point just under the 'bee'. I thought they would last more than a couple of years.

Rusting – After only a few months old and only very occasional usage, the knives began to rust. Very surprised as they are not a cheap brand. This set was a gift to us. This has not effected the cutting ability which I would say was average at best. We have quite a few knives ranging up to a $400 kitchen knife. Also have steak knives that are potentially 40 years old, from family that show no sign of rust. Just wear and tear.
