My strongest recommendation is to purchase it, and get your life back - it makes short work of anything involving steaming or pressing. I hesitated due to the price, but the ease of use and effectiveness have made it more than worthwhile. If money is an issue, tuck some aside and save towards it. For anybody who is weary of leaking from standard… Read more ·  1

irons, anybody who sews, or indeed any person who would just rather have smartly pressed and steamed clothing, just do it. All of a sudden I am looking neater, and so is my child in their school uniform. A bonus is the non stick sole plate thrown in, you can gently steam over painted and heat pressed logos, with no damage. After clothes drying, the machine gently stretched out hoodies and other clothing. I have used it over fine woollens, polyesters and cottons, all were fine. There is an option to switch on or off a fan in the ironing board, it helps prevent creases in shirts, etc. Deeply impressed with the customer service - I accidentally purchased an accessory included with the machine, and the company reimbursed it very briskly. Completely positive experience. No more cursing when your old, feeble domestic iron dribbles brown rusty water over clean clothes!! Warm regards from Melbourne.

Great machine! Makes light work for ironing clothes. Only dislike is the water filter gets worn out very quickly! It's colour goes from black to gold/brown very quickly. Other then this, it's great! Show details ·  1

A good iron – Perform well. Electrical cord not recoil into the machine, thus a bit messy. Warning alarm of low water level in wrong frequency as older individuals cannot hear it. Show reply

I value my Laura Star – I have had a Laura Star iron station for many years. Recently traded in my 15 year old one on the latest unit. The way it irons and steams denim, linen and silk with equal excellent results is wonderful and I wouldn’t be without one. Show details ·  1

I love LauraStar irons but be aware that coloured covers may leach dye! – I have had LauraStar irons for years and love to use them. They help to preserve the quality of fabric for much longer than a standard iron and make ironing much less of a chore. In July 2023, I replaced my 15-year-old ironing board with a new LauraStar S-Pure. The replacement ironing board was damaged in transit and was immediately replaced by… Read more ·  1

LauraStar for another new S-Pure. For that, I am very grateful. The S-Pure has the inbuilt fan system which was an upgrade from my previous S3 model.

I’ve always used grey ironing board covers but the new S-Pure came with a green cover. I decided to use the green cover and it has been fine until today, when it leached a couple of spots of dye on the front of my husband’s best white 100% cotton shirt. The dye marks will not budge. I’ve tried everything.

The reason the dye leached from the green cover is partly due to the moisture that builds up under the cover from the steam but also because the dye is obviously not properly fixed into the fabric. After a period of continuous ironing, moisture occasionally presses through to the cover and spots become visible (image attached). This spotting never caused a problem using the grey cover. Additionally, I usually iron the white shirts first but today, I unfortunately left them until last without knowing that the dye in the cover leaches.

I’ve changed back to the grey ironing board cover and do not recommend using a coloured cover due to today’s unfortunate experience. The irons are excellent and the company is great. Just be aware of the potential for coloured covers to leach dye.

Very impressive ironing system p – The weight of the iron and the motor in the ironing board make the clothes easier to iron and the plate for the iron stops some garments from being shiny Show reply

Great Iron - the best ever – Pros: I love the iron. It does a brilliant job on all my clothing. I love that I can just steam delicate items. Would I buy one again? Yes, in a heartbeat. Cons: It's big and heavy. I don't think I could set it up as a 70 year old. No where to properly store the cord. Show details ·  1
