I bought this because my Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 LTE died – As indicated with the subject matter, the other tablet which is perhaps more powerful than this cheapo device; I was rather worried that this thing was going to be bad. For under <$100, this is probably the cheapest colour screen tablet on the market. Holding it in the palm of your hand is quite light, and has a somewhat non-slip and grippy… Read more
surface on the back of the device. Because it is black, with a small blue cover on the top left corner of the device which covers the expansion slot, it is a dust and fingerprint magnet.
Battery life is average, on stand-by it will last you about 3 days if you're lucky; there are no battery enhancement modes (not that I can see). Due to its lack of features, I've had to go to the Play Store to acquire software widgets; for example screen capture, using a piece of software instead of a hardware feature to do the job.
The overall performance on this thing is rather dismal based on the slow onboard memory storage where on mine is 16GB, I have since installed a substantially faster 95M/sec 64GB MicroSD card into the slot where I have yet to optimise the applications to be installed onto the memory card in addition to some digital content.
With this installed, the performance is marginally better.
So let me do a quick breakdown of this device:
Advantages
- cheap
- expandable storage
- basic non-slip and easy-grip surface on back of device
- large realestate of space to view your content
- sound not bad, not ground-breaking quality
- Nougat Android version
Disadvantage
- fingerprint and dust magnet
- average camera but has two cameras
- anything higher than 480p depending on your overall Internet connection will start to lag performance
- slow if you install your apps and digital content onto the internal storage (buy a fast read/write speed Class 10 micro sd card)
- battery life is average but can be extended by lowering the brightness of the screen and disabling WIFI plus non-essential application
- best to get a protective cover just in case
- despite some reviews on Youtube have shown reviewers to drop the device without scratching and damage, I still wouldn't purposely drop it.
- not water resistant (like most phones and higher performing tablets)
At the end of the day, its a cheap sub-$100 tablet that will meet the needs of most consumers, in my view its better than a Kindle, although the two are different platforms.
Excellent size and perfect ebook reader – I bought this over a dedicated Amazon Kindle reader, and I was not disappointed at all! Got it at just $88 a year back before an 8 hours flight journey, loaded it up with my Kindle ebooks and heaps of movies to watch on the plane, was pleasantly surprised that the battery lasted the whole 8 hours after watching 3 movies, played an hour of games… Read more
and read few short ebooks.
I'm an avid ebook reader and this tablet accompanied me on all my train journeys between office and home, providing ebook, music and video entertainment. It served its purposes for my basic needs. I couldn't comment on how well it could handle resource intensive games but no problems on my Air Attack shooters games or the pinball arcades.
Certainly no lag in playing any YouTube videos at 720 resolution too.
Only negatives were it took almost 5 hours to fully charge but didn't bother me if I charged overnight, and that the brightness was unusually high even for the lowest setting but could be changed by installing the Twilight app to further dim the tablet's default brightness.
Great for the price. Great for kids – I bought my unit (ZA0R0015AU) just as they arrived in JB Hi-Fi in 2016 and ever since I've been meaning to write a few lines to say what a great little tablet this is for the price. At the value end of the market you aren't going to get the best of all worlds (e.g. camera) but it has it where it counts. My kids share this along with a 10"… Read more
tablet that cost 4 times as much and they have just as much fun. They care more about what app is on what tablet.
The big point of difference with this tablet and others under $100 is the battery life. It's exceptional. Here we are pushing 18 months after purchase and it still last for hours!
Other strong points are the crisp screen image and reasonable volume sufficient for the kids to watch movies in the car.
This tablet has been dropped more times than I can count and until very recently it took it all. Unfortunately the screen is now cracked after it landed screen down on the corner of a solid box. I suspect no tablet could handle that. Otherwise it's still going strong and I won't hesitate to buy the same model again when the cracked screen gets too annoying!

Best Choice In Its Price Range – We compared the tablets available and this was the clear winner of the budget ones. Its a little less than $100 and it easily beat the no name jobs we saw for comparison. Good battery life, greats screen and 'adequate' processor power and RAM. It not too awkward to hold for extended sessions either, so watching movies on it is easy. Show details
An excellent tablet, a great value for money – It is a great tablet, especially for the value of money. it works smoothly and optimises user experience so that I rarely experience any stuck. I mainly use it for entertainment and it never disappoints me. The screen is good and the battery is satisfactory. I mean you cannot expect too much from a tablet of such a low price. If you want a basic tablet. I believe this is your choice. Show details
Excellent value tablet – This is a great tablet - it really is if you are realistic about the price point. Its $98 at Officeworks so obviously you cant expect an iPad but the designers have given the best choices with the meagre budget. The screen is IPS (good) battery life is decent and they have saved on the processor (bit slow) and the general fit and finish is excellent for the price. Be realistic - don't expect an iPad for $98 and you will be pleased with it. Show details

Very bad – Poorly made tab. Very slow and sluggish. Very average screen and battery doesn't last long. Only positive thing is price range. I bought for 98$ from officework but later on returned because of its poor hardware. Don't fall for cheaper price. Better to pay few bucks more and buy samsung or any other. Show details
It is great for wi fi – My lenovo Tablet is the fist Tablet i have had I very Please with it except for one Funcion You can not make Phone calls from it but i Don`t need that Function as iiI use my H T C mobile for that the Camera is Great storage Good great screen Show details
Great Screen - Not The Fastest – Title pretty much covers it! This is a very simple Android tablet that has a great IPS screen but slow hardwear inside. Battery life is very good - I can get several days using off and on and. The best feature is definitely the screen though. - everything else is just average. That means its really good for watching movies and Youtubes on and… Read more
really bad for facebook or any other data rich browsing experience. I still use ours reasonably often but quite often I would like to but end up- using my phone because of the slow browser. I think three stars is a very fair score.

Good sub tablet for browsing internet or for kids – Good tablet for browsing the internet or for kids ... Bought one for my son to replace his broken iPad.. seems good for you tube and Roblox. Not super fast but decent. Exceeded my expectations for a $100 tablet Show details
Good Tablet – Bought this tablet for my daughter for Christmas last year. The battery life is long lasting. Picture is great. Sound is good. Tablet is used everyday. Have had no issues whatsoever. Have had other tablets in the past and the battery life has been very poor. You can only add apps etc by WIFI as no OTG. This tablet is good value for money Show details
Works okay – The tablet seems to function quiet well but only if you use 1 app at a time. Camera quality is good. However one major issue I have faced is it's random ability to turn itself of and not turn back on for 24hrs. Other then that battery life is good. Show details
Excellent for the price – I am giving this a 5/5 rating (for the price) I am rapt with mine and I think its easily the best sub $100 tab at the moment. Really well optimized user experience for the hardware, greta screen (IPS) and good battery life. I literally cant believe its so cheap when I use it, Top marks to Lenovo Show details

Very good budget tablet – I compared all the cheap tablets I could find and this was the clear winner its only $100 or so and had a much better screen than all the other cheapie. It is pretty strong and has excellent battery life too. As others have noted they saved money on the speakers (they are quiet and tinny) but I mainly use headphones and they sound excellent. Very happy for the price paid. Show details
Very Capable – We use this tablet only for movies in bed and you tube videos for cooking in the kitchen. The Picture is great , very vibrant and crisp . The Sound could be a bit better with front facing speakers so what we normally do is pair it with a Bluetooth speaker and solves that issue. Show details
Great cheap basic Android tablet – Really good value with this tablet. Its less than $100 but we find it very usable. Its android (pretty much stock) and as others have noted, has a really great screen for its price point. Processing power is a bit ho hum but screen is great. Battery life is excellent too and the outer case is very solid. I would by the same one again in a heartbeat - its very good value Show details
Wife uses it every night – I got this a little gift for my wife. She uses it every night these days including reading kindle books on it - something I just can't do on screens like that. She loves it and also watches movies on it with netflix. Its well made and gets a pretty good battery run per recharge too. I am satisfied with this product it was less than $100 and has already given lots of good service. Show details
Best value tab around – I had to replace my wifes tab and this was easily the best value that still offered decent quality. Its a little chunkier than some but its rugged and has a great little screen. Battery life is excellent and it works really well. My only complaint would be the slowness resolving some pages but you can't have everything for leass than $100! Shes happy with it which means I am happy with it too. Show details
Better than you expect – My wife bought this and I was truly impressed that it cost less than $100 when I got to try it. It looks way better than that and the screen is pretty decent too. Browsing can be a bit hit and miss - slows down with some graphic heavy sites but Youtube, Facebook etc are all excellent. It goes without saying its a better experience with headphones because the internal speaker is pretty thin sounding but hey $100, right? It's very good value. Show details
Cheap is best! – Purchased this tablet 6 months ago at Officeworks. Nothing bad to say. Con is the battery. But what to expect for the price.... charging takes for ages. My kids love the tablet. Great for traveling. Easy to upload any files from your PC. I will definitely recommend this tablet and brand Lenovo to anyone! It's a tough gadget, perfect size, easy to use and excellent value for money. You will get hours of fun. Show details
Good media viewer/slow browser – The title says it all really! You can add in good battery life and strong- ours has hit the ground lots of times without worrying it. It has a surprisingly nice screen for a $100 tablet but they have saved money with the processor and RAM. You can for get about game unless those games are chess or solitaire and browsing can be slow, depending on… Read more
the website but playing movies with some decent headphones is really good. We have certainly had out money's worth with this,
Lives on our coffee table – This has become our netflix chooser and general TV selector since we got a chromecast last year. The tab was cheap (under $100) and a bit slow for browsing, but its just right for the TV table to "second screen" when watching or choose movies. Battery life is GREAT we only charge it occasionally and the screen itself is pretty decent. Its robust too as it's hit the ground multiple times and still works perfectly. Show details

Great travel tablet/ entertainment machine – This tablet has had more movies watched on it than just about anything else! It has a pretty decent screen (not iPad quality but good) for a cheap Android tablet but slowish internals. It seems what they saved on the processor, they spent on the screen. Anyway the result is a tablet that's is slow for browsing - I even noticed some apps cant be… Read more
updated anymore but it every comfortable to watch movies on. I have a 64GB sd card in ours and can fill it up with movies for hours of fun! Battery life is very decent too. So overall, if you want this to go online - its getting a bit old but to watch movies - its great.
Very handy tablet good screen – I bought this for my wife as an ereader. She didn't use it so I nicked it lol. Its a very handy coffee table browser and spend a lot of time there. I use it mostly to choose Netflix to send to the chromecast and its very good for this role. The screen quality is very good and it has a long battery life. It was cheap to buy and has already served us well. Show details
Basic But Decent Enough – Let me start by saying this tablet is getting towards the end of irts useful days. It is hamstrung by low RAM and a slow processor so rendering website can be a slow process. It has very good screen for it's price though (IPS) and so its best as a media viewer and works well for this. Good battery life too. Great for watching movies Show details
ok – got it coz its cheaper than other brands while still a nameable brand. started very good, using it everyday. but after a few months it turns a bit slow, compare to my other ipad which still works quite well after 4 years, this one is not so satisfying, but price is a winner. Show details
Good Basic Tablet – This tablet is cheap and cheerful. It has limitations which you hit quickly browsing. It will quickly lag or freeze of you open overly content rich sites or have too many tabs open. it only has 1GB of RAM and I think that is the cause. The screen is quite passable and I can watch a whole movie on it without getting sore eyes so that good. As a media viewer, its fine. Its good value too Show details
Really Good Simple Tablet – This is a very plain and simple tablet. Its just Android with no extras so its kind of like a really big phone. Except you can stream Netflix and Youtube on it. I really enjoy this and keep it on the bedside table. Browsing can be a little slow sometimes but it was pretty cheap and the battery and screen are good, so I dont mind. It was good value and I am happy with it. Show details
Good Vanilla Android tablet – Good tablet but I must say "for the price" ($97). It has a good enough screen - OK its no iPad but its completely usable and it has good battery life. Its strongly made - we dont bother with a case or anything and have had no problems. I would say you hit the walls when you try to multi task. It doesnt have powerful enough internals to cope with… Read more
heaps of tabs open or multiple apps. it works fine just doing one thing at a time. Its a good all round very basic tab.
It's cheap, be realistic – It's a nifty little tablet in the very low price range for tablets, my advice is: don't expect it to replace any device, it's a cheap as hell tablet that's designed for low load activities. This is a great device if you want to start a home automation setup, it'll run well with no hiccups handling low level tasks on a constant basis. It's also a… Read more
great tablet for the young kids, provided their not yet at the age where they want to use Spotify while regularling switching between Facebook, Instagram, & snapchat in quick succesion
Great Basic Tablet – This tablet is pretty darn good. It has an IPS screen so despite being very cheap, it is actually quite watchable. I have sat through entire movies on it, no worries. battery life is very good . Browsing is OK with occasional lock ups due to limited RAM I think - (it only has 1GB) I am overall happy with this and think its very good value. Show details
Awesome Little Tablet – My wife used this for a Netflix viewer for ages but we have recently changed its role to that of Chromecast chooser and it lives on the coffee table in the lounge. It's a little small for actually watching movies on comfortably in my opinion but as a general duties tab on the coffee table and especially as a media chooser, its good. Battery life… Read more
is excellent on this model. We only charge it a few times a week. Its well made with a decent but not exceptional screen Viewing angles are good . Considering its cheap price, it's a good tablet.
Ruined the power socket in the wall and melted the charger – It was horrible and could have burned my house down! It melted the charger and the wall socket! It was always hot even when switched off and I was not given warranty as it “could have been the wall socket” I’m furious as it could of burned my house down Show details
Great Travel Companion – I was able to use this for nearly everything travelling. I booked accommodation, did my emails and banking and watched movies. So useful! The screen is only 7 inches but good enough to watch movies on without getting sore eyes and it's IPS which means good viewing angles. Battery lasts all day. The only negative is the RAM is only 1GB so there are… Read more
some websites that slow down a bit but we are talking about a sub $100 device. For the money this is really excellent.
I love this – I bought one recently as i want to watch some movies and television shows on a tablet instead of my phone and i dont want to spend too much money on it This is suitable for me as i think the price is reasonable and it reaches what i want It is easy to use and convenient to bring that out to some where else Show details
