Stunning LG 4K 27" IPS HDR 60Hz 5ms Monitor with Speakers & USB-C Power – Whilst not being the most responsive or even encompassing the fastest of modern refresh rates, my LG 27" 4K monitor is an absolutely stunning upgrade over my previous LG 23" HD DTV / monitor combo. Not wanting a curved or widescreen display I felt this incrementally larger display ticked all the boxes for what was an update to my aging desktop PC / workstation setup. Overall I use the darker 'REC709' picture setting with 'FreeSync' set to 'On', 'Smart Energy Saving' set to 'High', sound 'MaxxAudio' set to 'Off' & height adjustment in abundance to suit. My existing desktop USB mouse & keyboard plug neatly into the back of the panel, as do the supplied 240V laptop style power brick, & inclusive HDMI & USB-C cables to my PC with the lone inclusive displayport cable a welcome spare. It consumes less power overall than my previous DTV / PC monitor combo device whilst on or in standby mode. I can optionally physically rotate my monitor 90 degrees into portrait mode, subsequently needing to manually adjust the onscreen display setting to match the orientation thereafter. Albeit sturdy, my lone device niggle is the slight 'wiggle & jiggle' exhibited if my workstation table is even mildly shaken or stirred. The higher 4K resolution is noticeable whilst viewing any 4K quality video, as is the additional & welcome on-screen 'real estate' space, however I have enlarged some fonts or zoomed into pages for a better reading experience for my waning eyesight.
