only lost its brightness, but strange blue and pink colour blotches began to take over from the corners of the screen. Regardless of the colour settings, software updates, and questions to LG support, they were not interested in the problem. We took it to their recommended repairer who gave us a price of over $600 (we paid $590 for it new) to repair the screen. Of course it is now just another piece of failed electronic waste. Just beware that higher priced company products like LG does not necessarily mean higher quality. Needless to say, LG is now off our list for any new purchase.
