Excellent for The Price – This is a fantastic little Bluray player. I had previously owned a Sony Bluray player which was extremely slow and didn't turn on half the time. Upon booting the device up for the first time I was surprised with how quickly it turned on. I was also pleased that LG have provided a HDMI cable with the Bluray player. The picture quality is also very… Read more

good. Can't go wrong with this fantastic little box and well worth it for $99 (JB HiFii).

UPDATE (5/9/15):

Still working perfectly after 2 years. Fast Startup, Good Picture Quality, Small Size, Included HDMI Cable Sound is a little quiet but it's no deal breaker

Cheap, simple and reliable – Bought this unit in April from Betta Electrical on special for $77 complete with a HDMI cable. Easy to set up as a DVD player. Very easy to use with a clear menu system which is easy to navigate although the remote control is relatively small. Cheap, simple and reliable product. Incredible value. Cheap, easy to use and reliable Nothing

Simple, Cheap, Works as advertised. Highly recomended – I have used this to replace my laptop that was my media player for the TV for the last couple of weeks. I didn't need a 3D unit and the price was great. The usb port works with my external hard disk as well as thumb drives. The option of ripping mp3's from a cd to a thumb drive works great and is quite convenient. Simple function on the front as… Read more

the power button ejects the disk as well as turns it on. Even the remote only uses one battery. The remote is small. The menu system is clear and easy to navigate. I just bought a second unit for the caravan as it's price size and weight along with the multi format play back makes it ideal for the van. The only thing that could be a problem is it's outputs as it only has a HDMI or a coax. Not really a problem for a modern TV. Simple, small. Plays every format video i have tried in it.

Finally a player that has the full feature set – I had almost given up on the search for the living room media centre an yet it appears from nowhere. Sony should own the living room by now but instead delivers pain and suffering to its customers with such reliability you wonder how the company survives. Now my lg bp125 loads a hard drive 1TB tested ok plays the formats I need and here's the… Read more

clincher I've been ripping my DVDs as I got them for the day when I can play the video-ts folder just like my mac can

Finally i can do with a $79 player without requiring me to move my mac to the living room Plays mkv avi .mp4 and .vobs in a video-ts folder Remote is ridiculously small but integration with lg tv a nice extra

Great Value – Encouraged by the reviewer who bought the LG BP125 for $79.00 from JB HiFi, I showed their salesperson the review and they matched the price (down from $99.00) Thank you!~ I bought this unit for our guest chalet, primarily so visiting friends and family members could watch movies stored on their hard drives or thumb drives. Most of our DVD… Read more

collection is stored there, so the unit needed to be dual-purpose. Our decision to go for this model was based on satisfaction with our existing LG BluRay, the BD660... and by those five-star ratings on this site. We're delighted with all aspects of the BP125's operation, particularly with its compatibility with multiple movie formats. Life's good!~ Price, compatibility, great energy rating. Smaller than expected... but that's no real problem.

Great player at an affordable price – I bought this a few months ago at JB when they had a 20% off sale, so it only cost me $79. As my TV is also an LG, as soon as I put a DVD or Bluray in this unit, the television automatically switches to the correct input (using simplink) to watch whatever it is I’ve put in the player. The remote can also be used to control the TV (to a certain… Read more ·  2

degree) so that’s a plus as well.

This is a very basic unit but it does what is expected of it. You can also plug a an external drive in the usb slot at the front of the unit and play movies, view photos or play music from that. It’s a very lightweight player and takes up little room. Note there is no standby light. (This might bother some people.) Simplink, USB, inexpensive It's so lightweight that when I press the open (eject) button the whole player moves
