Unable to download Nine Now Etc – As a Smart TV the version of software it is capable of running is Not acceptable. Not satisfied with the products controls lack ability to access programs adequately. Bluetooth and wireless connectivity is pretty good. The TV has plenty of HDMI ports available. The optic sound is great also. Just disappointed with the software inability to update to run programs to watch past programs. Show details

LG defective LED Display – 1st LG TV purchased from Harvey Norman Hoppers Crossing had a dent where the stand screws go in. Same day replacement TV only lasted 3 years before white spots started appearing on the screen. They were bright white lights shining from inside the screen about the size of a twenty cent piece. LG customer service which is disgraceful and located… Read more

in Malaysia wouldn't return calls or send me email of hat the problem was but said it was out of 1 year warranty. I had to explain Australian Consumer Law to them because TV was sold to me on the basis it would last over five years which it did not. LG repair centre were going to charge more than what I paid for the TV to replace the LED screen. Harvey Norman also no help. Both companies said they expect the TV to last longer than it did but the only response I got was it lasted a reasonable time for the price. I only had the 42 inch size but was told it would be different if I paid a few thousand for it. The larger screen sizes were all listed in that vicinity. I think a reasonable person would expect a full HD led lcd 3D TV to last longer than 3 years. Turns out the white light spots are inherent to that type of TV and internet is now full of unhappy customers. Beware any TV that purports to have an LG screen in it. Google 'white spots LG on TV' Will not buy LG products anymore if customer service is like they are and you cannot speak to anyone in Australia.

This is perfect – The screen so lightly and the pictures are stunning the 3D it's amazing and easy to push down the function on the remote control and search the 3D model then put your LG glasses as including the product by manufacturer LG then enjoy the beautiful 3D movie or music When the message Magic Remote battery is low change the battery cover the all ports that's be enough to connect to computer,  Show details

Good TV – I bought this TV, two and half years ago and has been working since then quite fine. No issues with the picture quality and it is great. One can directly connect the TV to wifi and watch programs from the internet and one can also download the LG remote app on android phone to change channels. The picture quality is quite sharp. The sound… Read more

quality is average hence the 4 star rating. It could have been better, when comparing to latest models.

Overall a Good TV.

Great value for the product – A great smart TV with great features. The picture is crystal clear. Loved the 3D capacity which works well with 3D glass's from the cinema (which came with the TV). It's easy to set up and connect to the Internet and it does provide system updates. Sleek built and not too heavy with great sound quality.  Show details

3D why – I had the version before this, $1600 + extended warranty, which lasted 15 months before internet stopped working and other things went wrong but it had LG world, which meant we could get 3D films online for a decent price, maybe that's why it went wronge, anyway I had to pay an extra $99I was told almost exactly the same TV., well: NO LG World so… Read more

now I will have to get a 3D DVD player as no film store like stan, google netfix in Australia does 3D, no chance. Speakers sound seems to goes backwards so muffled sound. Magic (Smart Intelligent ha ha ah!!) hard to control and remote wastes batteries having to change every 3 to 4 months. changing settings, long unnecessary processes even subtitles is 5 clicks. Record click, wait, click, wait, click and... " Time machine is preparing" and repeat same process Internet slow and at times just cuts out even though hard wired. Freeview slow and basic. LG apps are a waste of space and time.

Very good – Very satisfied overall with this TV. The picture & sound quality are excellent. There are multiple USB ports & they are easy to access. The remote is easy to use, although it does go through batteries quickly. I've had no negative experience with this TV. Would certainly recommend it to anyone.  Show details

Tv ok but remote terrible – Bought an LG to replace a 40inch Sony that was nearly 8 years old. It still worked ok but we wanted a smart tv. The picture on the LG is ok but as others have said, the sound is not very good. We generally run it through a sound system (Sony) when watching movies. What has let us down is the magic remote. It was around the 15 month age that the… Read more

down volume button started being difficult to use to the point it took considerable force then recently the on off button is going the same way. Now we have to yswitch it on and off manually and use a phone app to control the volume. Not impressed with the lifespan of the remote and just detracts from the whole tv. I contacted LG on their website and on live chat hoping to get a free replacement but it didn't happen. Definately wouldn't buy another LG tv as the quality just doesn't cut it and will probably go back to a Sony or Samsung. It might also be a lesson to get extended warranty too.

ok tv but webos is no good – Purchased this tv in late 2014. The picture quality has been good. The big dissapoitment has been the webos operating system. Its slow, next to no apps available, upgrades?, AND A BIG ONE FOR ME..NO FLASH PLAYER SUPPORT. That really bugged me because so many websites require it to work properly.

Very good TV for the price – I had to replace my excellent Samsung plasma after it was physically broken (cracked screen) during a party. I've always preferred plasma screens due to their ability to display good, deep, inky blacks and general picture quality but as I'm waiting for OLED technology to become more mainstream and the price to come down (and for flat ones to be… Read more

popular, not the ridiculous curved ones!) I chose to purchase a "cheaper" 50" TV for now.

I've actually been quite surprised with the picture quality once I've adjusted the various picture aspects, with fairly good blacks and contrast, although not matching the plasma it's not that far behind.

Viewing angles are not a strong point of LED/LCD screens but as long as you're within a reasonable viewing angle it's not too bad.

Very small bezel and it's very light in weight compared to my plasma. Expecting much lower power consumption and heat dissipation too.

What did surprise me was the level of connectivity and network awareness. The LG WebOS is very good, well implemented and intuitive. Web surfing is easy particularly as a wireless keyboard & mouse can be used (although like most TV's it does not support flash) .

Interfaces to external devices such as USB drives etc is very good, ABC's i-view and SBS on-demand is effective, as is the ability to share devices and screens etc.

3D TV's I've never been interested in but seemed fairly effective converting 2D material to 3D and seemed quite good but is only a novelty to me. Perhaps with native 3D content it may be more appealing.

The remote works well, including the pointing facility/mechanism and voice recognition works very well, better than I expected.

Purchased a 50" for $899 (floor stock) so very happy with the picture and network awareness.

Only negative is the audio system/ability which seems quite limited really so does need to be connected to external audio system for immersive audio and connectivity in that respect seems a bit limited with the only audio out via optical connection.

Oh, also the style of stand with "feet" at each end of the TV means you need a surface that's as wide as the TV, a central stand would be more practical I believe. So that's one thing to be aware of.

Overall, very good TV for the price, good picture quality with excellent NW ability, would recommend as a good choice within this price range/budget.

The TV will blow you away – We purchased an LG 2014 model 3D Smart TV 50LB6500. It is an LED LCD HD TV. We took it home and as we have a wireless internet system was surfing the net within 15 minutes of getting it out of the box. It streams from YouTube, ABCIVIEW and a whole heap of other functions. It comes with a remote control that has a pointer so that you can… Read more

select what you want to watch or surf the internet. You can also speak into the remote control and it will go to where you want to go, say I say, "YouTube Blondie Call Me" it just goes there and starts playing the song and video seamlessly. I have never seen a TV like this and at $1350 it is a bargain. We might even get a better one for our back room. I have never been entertained so much and had a tv that is so easy to set up and it is Freeview 2 ready. Very low power usage, 10 Plus to LG.

No negative issues..
