It's alright but slow – - Very good picture quality, clear and you can adjust brightness and colours. - Slow to run application like Youtube and Netflix. - It takes ages to connect to the wifi after you turn it on. - Very hard to control without the remote. Other than that it's easy to use Show details
LG LED TV is very low quality and don't last more than 2 years, be careful before you buy LG TV..!!! – I have bought an LG LED42" 3D tv top of the line from Harvey Norman ,Springvale 2 years back, and since march this year it has been giving problems , The TV was top of the line at that time , and with latest features. The TV is having vertical lines started with one line then kept increasing and the number of lines of various colors started… Read more
appearing after about 18 months use. Apparently the issue is not covered under warranty, and LG service agent refused to fix this. Now the TV needs at least 5-10 minutes " WARM UP" time with black out on the left hand corner of the TV for a tleast 10 minutes and and cross signals and pixelations for sometime. the vertical lines never disappears. I have called up and had an internet chat with their technical service team who promised to respond within 48 hours with a solution, if I email the details.Which I did and send reminders several times , but LG service has still not responded.
I am more or less about to give up now and let everybody whom I can advise not to buy LG TV, because their customer service is pathetic. This sort of TVs need to last at least for 4-5 years . So if you are buying an LGTV be warned. The product is good for short time but that may not last....!!!
According to the service person, it is a common problem yet not covered under any warranty.
I intend to take the TV to LG office one of this days or in front of HN and tell all customers pass by to not to fall into the company's price and quality promise and distribute leaflets in front of the shop.
LG - no support for 18 month old TV's! – TV was great. Bought my TV 18 months ago mainly for the smart TV features. 3 weeks ago ABC iview stops working. I use this nearly everyday, well I did, and don't really watch much commercial TV at all. I search online and see that abc changed some security settings on iview, that LG apparently can't keep up to date with. I rang LG support today to… Read more
find out how to fix it. The LG rep tells me it is ABC's fault, so I asked why my friend's other TV's (Samsung, pana, etc..) are still working? The answer I received - because I have an old TV! 18 months old is obsolete now for TVs apparently! and that some updated firmware might be finished by 30 November, but this is not a set date or anything!? so I have an out of date 18 month old "smart" TV that may receive updated firmware someday, with no firm date, or maybe not. Thanks LG!
Almost 5 Stars, – I was looking around for a new TV and 55inch was my preferred size. I Compared multiple brands before settling on the LG with the closest to this being a samsung. I could not be happier with the picture quality, particularly the passive 3D, having watched 3D on a friends samsung after a while my eyes started to get sore. The passive 3D i do not… Read more
get this problem, but my 10 yr old son that does when he does not wear his glasses. Love the apps and the app store, although i would like a few more options but the lay out and how it works i would give LG 5 stars, the picture quality 5 stars in 3D and normal the magic remote, love it again the way this works 5 stars, if your thinking of buying this TV try it in a shop as it does take a bit to get used to but it can be adjusted in the settings.
The internal speakers are of good quality and for such a thin TV cannot complain, the only draw back for maybe that the audio output is optical cable. I happen to have an optical cable but have not used as i have only used the internal speakers. This means that if you wanted to listen over headphones you will need you purchase either optical headphones or a digital to analogue converter, this is not an issue for me as my next purchase is likely to be a surround sound system.
I use an external hard dive to watch movies and you could not tell, there is no dropping or stopping of the movie.
Internal memory is the only draw back, if you down load lots of apps from the LG app store you will need to use a USB drive to store your apps. I think this is reasonable as is the need to use an external USB for a lot of apps but i think the internal memory is very low and just not good enough. This is the only reason why I have give this TV 4 stars and not 5 stars, in every other aspect I would rate this TV 5 stars and the better than all competition.
Another positive is the fact that you can record TV direct to an external Hard Drive, so no need to buy a HDD recorder, well unless you want to record and watch a separate channel. Picture Quality, Passive 3D, Thin depth and thin frame, In built Apps, Magic Remote, 4 HDMI Input, 3 USB input. The ability to record TV direct to external Hard Drive No audio jack only optical out for sound, maybe an issue for some people
Excellent value for money – Very happy with this model. We were looking for a TV under $1500 or our home theatre room, and this model ticked all the boxes. Originally was looking at similar Samsung and Sony models, but the LG had more features for less $$. Picture quality is superb, 3D is also impressive. The magic remote included is very sensative and takes practice to get… Read more · 1
used to. We purchased from Good Guys on sale for $1350, also it was able to fit in the back of my Corolla (back seats down) so no delivery hassles. Setting up the TV was very easy and straight forward. good value 3D TV The magic remote is very sensitive
Great Value – Picked one of these up for just under $1500 last month. Best value by far. I went in to look at the Samsung and Sharp TV's in the same price range. The passive 3D was the winner. Great picture and no need for powered active glasses. The ones I have from the cinema work fine as well. I do find I have to sit a bit further back than my old TV or… Read more · 1
the Foxtel that comes in via Component leads can be a bit pixelated, but I don't get that through the TV's tuner. The only thing that can be a bit annoying is the speed of the Smart TV apps. Takes a while to load up home page, let alone You Tube. Not to worried, not a feature I will use much. Magic remote is OK, but I prefer the original remote. You get both so you have the option to choose. Love the look of the TV. Sleek and modern with the fancy chrome look stand. Easy to connect to the WiFi at home, and streams videos off my laptop pretty well. Got the free iPhone app that works as a remote. That seems to work fine. Passive 3D works great. Bargain price compared to other brands Slow to bring up the Smart TV options
Best value passive 3D TV on the market – Was after a new TV and managed to get the 55LM7600 at JB for $1800. Didn't want the LM8600 or LM9600 series because they were out of my price range (and I didn't need some of those extra features). The LM7600 ticked most of the boxes that I wanted for a TV and more importantly it is a passive 3D TV (not active 3D like Samsung, Sony, etc). I can… Read more
easily get additional 3D glasses at the cinemas cheaply. :D
Watching the Finding Nemo in 3D is absolutely amazing.
The sound from the TV is lacking but it is hard to deliver good sound from such a thin TV. You really need a decent home theatre sound system to compliment the TV.
Once you buy this, you'll want to start building your 3D Blu-ray movie library.
Only bad things are that is there is no headphone socket and only one shared component/composite video connection (for any old devices you might have to use). Because of the thin border/frame, there is some light bleed in the top of the screen but it is minimal and can only be noticable when watching in the dark. Sleek looks, sharp picture, passive 3D. No headphone socket. Only one shared component/composite video connection. Average sound. (had to deduct one star)
Unrivalled, Superb Television – We recently purchased the 55LM7600. I am absolutely blown away by the quality of this TV. The 3D is better than you would see in a cinema. My wife is a pretty tough critic and even she can't believe how amazing this TV is. Even programs in 2D are superb. The kids love the Wii on this television; and movies such as Avatar, Hugo, The Amazing… Read more · 1
Spiderman and Tin Tin are just phenomenal through the LG 3D Blu-Ray player. As Roses66 said, this is by far the best 3D TV on the market. Passive 3D is unrivalled; ultra-thin bezel, LG Apps, Wifi; the list goes on.
Love At First Sight – I always wanted a top-range TV someday and bought this is the one two weeks ago. Wow, I'm impressed. It has more features than you can poke a stick at, it integrates reasonably well with the internet and allows digital recording to an external HDD, just to mention a few. I haven't got to the 3D features yet. LG have given me a good solid… Read more · 2
product for my hard earned cash. Trouble is, I find it hard to get any work done. A huge array of options to suit users likes and easy menus to follow. A bit tricky getting a WiFi connection, but I think that was more to do with my router configuration.
Excellent TV – This is without a doubt the very best TV on the market! Fantastic picture, very user friendly yet has ALL of the latest technology. This TV is an absolute pleasure to watch. Thanks LG, this is our 2nd TV in 12 months from you and you didn't let us down... good to see a company actually delivering what they portray in their marketing! :) Picture… Read more · 2
quality & ease of use. The only fault I could possibly find is the sound is not great through the TV but given how thin this TV is, one would expect to use speakers with it.
Excellent LED picture – I recently purchased a Samsung 6200 series TV. I did not like the picture and ended up taking the TV back after 2 months. I searched everywhere for a TV with a picture I liked and came across this one. It is brilliant I have had it for a week now and have to say that it has exceeded my expectations. I was totally against LG products, but this has… Read more
won me over.
Highly recommend for anyone looking for a new TV. This one is 47" (119CM). I live in a very bright apartment and I am still able to watch it in daylight, unlike the Samsung. 3D is great, Viewing in daylight very good, picture very clear. Nice looking TV. Not pleased with the input option on the remote.
LG 55LM7600 – i would have to recommend this tv to anyone who is looking to buy a 3D tv. it blows everyone who has watched it away. the 3D glasses (they come with 4 normal and 2 gaming glasses) are cheap to replace. Brother has a much more expensive samsung 3D, he likes this 3D more than his 3d viewing was great, came with 2 remotes, great for watching footy a little slow in picking up and playing wifi movies even thru hdmi cable, still love it though
