I am not sure about Amazon. any app will take forever to open and run on this tv. I bought second hand PC $100 with 8 gb ram 500 hdd and wireless mouse and keyboard for $25 and it works great on the tv.
I'm currently overseas and can't remember off the top of my head, however I don't know of any brand TV that supports all apps, What I have done in the past to solve a similar issue was to pucase a blue ray player that supported apps that the LG did not, Sony player did the job in my case, hope this helps
My LG 65LW6500 TV is connected to a Foxtel box and an old model box which allows me to play CDs and video tapes. All work OK. No iview or similar! I can connect headphones and I can play videos on USBs. Does that help?
The best way is to use internet on it is to use pc on it and this tv as a monitor. Buy $100 second hand good cpu and use on it. I sold this TV for $70 as it screen went black and it wouldn’t turn so I bought samsung tv now whis is s perfect smart tv. I still use pc on my new tv to watch movies from Internet.
Does this smart 3 d tv provide free view catchup tv or do I need a new blue ray? Currently using LG blue ray
Hi Nick, It has SBS and Ivew catch up, youtube etc as standard. You might check the LG web site for all the apps available for this TV. I not know of any brand that has all the catch up services. I run a sony blue ray that gives me the nine and ten services but I also use a Humax dual tuner recorder that records all the programs I miss when out.

Hi Nick, I checked and there is SBS, ABC's iView, BigPond movies, and YouTube. Not sure whether FreeView is even available in Regional Qld, where I live. Sorry, I can't help.
Hi, TV not as smart as you would like. Newer models from 2012 have the Netflix app while the 2016 models will have the catchup TV. I just spoke to LG and was told nothing on the horizon for the LW6500 tvs.
I'm considering a 4th gen Apple TV for the catch tv apps and Netflix.
What wall mount brackets suit the lg 42lw6500?. The manual states VESA 400x400 specification but this doesn't seem to be the case. I found out the hard way when I bought a Crest full motion tv wall mount. Or am I doing something wrong? Measuring from the middle of the screw holes the distance is 222mm between the bottom ones, and 243mm between the top holes. Between the top and bottom is 140mm.
