TV is clear and easy to navigate with a lot of easy extras Show details
Picked up the LG Nano86 and it's a real beauty for the price. Picture’s sharp as, colours are vibrant, and it handles movies and sport like a champ. The smart features are quick and the remote’s got that pointer thing it's a bit weird at first, but handy. Sound’s decent, though a soundbar helps. Only gripe is a bit of glare in bright rooms, but nothing major. Show details

LG Nano86 Series : Stunning Picture Quality and Smart Features – I recently purchased the LG Nano86 Series and I’m thoroughly impressed! The picture quality is stunning, with vibrant colors and deep contrast that make movies and shows come to life. The webOS interface is easy to navigate, and the smart features, including voice control and app support, are a great addition. The sound quality is clear and… Read more
immersive, making it a great all-around entertainment experience. Overall, the LG Nano86 offers fantastic value for the price, combining excellent visuals, smart functionality, and solid performance!
Great Value for the Price 55" – TV exceeded my expectations, especially for the price! The resolution makes everything look incredibly crisp, and the HDR really enhances the colour depth. The built-in streaming apps work smoothly, and the interface is user-friendly. It’s also very sleek and looks great mounted on the wall. Thanks
Quality tv purchade – We purchased this TV for our theatre room , this was after months of research on tv vs projector: being a room just big enough for a 100 inch projector screen ( with top quality sound system already installed) it was a tough decision! We could have afforded a top end projector! Money was not the issue, but the quality of the tv and ease of… Read more
maintenance and overall cost we have no regrets! If anything I am confident the overall quality of the images on the tv are better saving the cost of the larger screened projector
Good to purchased – Love the features of these LG Nano86 the colour and the size are so good. We place it on our living room and it looks so perfect.
It's fine but the local dimming is an absolute joke – LG just threw in local dimming as a feature for this TV just so they can technically say it has local dimming and throw it on the box for marketing. It's the only explanation. There's no way, during product testing, that they saw freaking pillars of light from the top to the bottom of the screen and thought "yep that's good local dimming". I mean… Read more
literally, if you have a black screen and a logo appears in the middle of the screen, the entire mid section of the TV, from the top to the bottom of the screen, lights up. It's a joke and LG should be ashamed that's all that can be said about it.
However given that I got this TV after returning a TCL TV with audio sync issues which was unacceptable. I'm willing to turn local dimming off on this and just accept the washed out blacks. It's livable imo but if that's a problem for you then don't buy this TV and check reviews on other LG TVs because other models also exhibit this problem.
Good tv until you watch a night scene – Nice picture during the day. Watching anything on a streaming platform at nighttime in a dark room is nearly impossible. Magic remote is painfully frustrating to use. Slow response and a battle with the cursor. After reporting the picture quality issues to LG, I was also told by them that this was normal. A technician was sent out during the… Read more
day, so obviously couldn’t see the issue with the screen bleed that occurs at nighttime. The technician turned OFF dimming option. Unfortunately this has made very little change and the picture is still washed out any time there is anything light on the screen. A distracting bleed of white takes your attention away from anything else happening.
I feel let down by the tv as this certainly isn’t how the image looked in store. Edge lighting didn’t seem to be an issue on the display unit at Good Guys, otherwise I definitely would not have purchased it…. We watch a lot of Sci Fi which is virtually impossible on this tv. The black is not black…
OK but need a uni degree to drive it! – Look it is an ok TV with great picture and sound, but gee, some decent instructions would come in handy and save the hours messing with it to get it working properly. There is no time display and service must be embarrising for them. I finally am able to get it working and send an enquirey to find out how to get some semblance of a time display… Read more
somewhere without having to spend 10 minutes looking for it. So they reply with a question (no answer) and ask me to (quote)... "If you need to reply to this email or have further concerns, please click on the “MORE QUESTIONS” button below" Guess what? No such button in the email lol. Then further down I read... (quote) "To help improve our Quality of Service, we would appreciate it if you could complete our Customer Service Survey using the Survey link below. " Now I really wanted to follow that so called link to voice so opinions, but guess what? No link haha. Conclusion: TV is passable quality maybe 4 stars, but opperation needs simplefying and service is very ordinary to say the least. Would I buy another LG on this experience? Doubt it!

Terrible backlight bleeding, Hideous local dimming – LG advertised its TV equipped with local dimming which makes dark more darker. However, it should be called local brightening. When the local dimming is on, whenever there is a bright spot on the screen, there will be a horizontal light 'shinning' from the top to the bottom of the screen. It is impossible to watch dark theme movies with this… Read more
advanced feature which LG promised to deliver a darker pictures.
LG suggested a solution, just "turn it off". Local dimming is one of the feature I brought in this TV, and I do not expected it was local brightening instead.
So, I turned off the local dimming. A severe backlight bleeding appeared on all 4 corners of the tv. A bright apot of lights constantly emitted at the edges of the TV. It is fine if you are watching bright movies, however, it is a pain to watch dark theme movies.
Talk to LG, technicians send in, they tap the tv, bang the tv, flip the tv over and shake it, and of course, they can't fix it.
Technicians final comments about the backlight bleeding: - it is part of the technology. - it is perfectly normal for 'some' tv have these issues. - there is no further solution and I have to compromise.
I asked for a return and refund and of course the answer is no. I asked if every TV have this problem or just mine? The answer is most of the LG TVs are perfectly fine, however, some TVs have this issue and it is perfectly normal.
I guessed i am just one of the lucky customers to allocated some of these ' perfectly normal' TVs.
When I look at ACL, it said otherwise. However, Who cares? Who bothers?
To whom it may concern, I uploaded video and feel free to have a look.

Find out how LG Nano86 Series (2021) compares to other 4K Ultra HD TVs
Know better, choose better.
Excellent TV with all Features – Excellent TV with all the bells and whistles. You can have whichever features and apps you want. Love the sound, even if you don't need a sound bar... I think the sound on the TV is better than the sound on the sound bar. As I watch television, my picture quality improves. It was only a month ago when I purchased it. Switch from Sony to LG and i am not disappointed at all. Show details · 1
Overall decent television – Impressed with colour accuracy and image quality. Local dimming does produce a slight halo in dark scenes, but nothing as bad as what I’ve seen on YouTube. Perhaps the 2021 model has improved this. I’ve just turned it off altogether. Very responsive operating system and heaps of options to tune the image to your preference. 4K 120hz low latency gaming and decent HDR effect. Overall a great TV for the money. Show details · 1
Brilliant TV That Does Well, One Small Software Bug – An absolutely brilliant TV that provides extremely high quality images. Set up is quick and easy and capable of being done by anyone even with limited technology knowledge. For those who like to noodle with settings to make things just the way you like them, you will be please with the vast array of advance settings. I am so please with my… Read more · 1
purchase I only have two points of minor annoyance and these are the only two things that prevented me from giving a five start review.
- We have a companion LG sound bar connected via HDMI, unfortunately the TV stand has no inbuilt recesses for cables to pass underneath, meaning the power and HDMI cable must go around the stand making it difficult to have a clean set up.
- Sometimes when powering on, the TV defaults to the internal speakers and not the sound bar. This occurs perhaps once every ten times we turn it on. Quick to change the settings however hope this is resolved with a software update in the future.
With those two points mentioned I am quite satisfied with the responsiveness of the "WebOS" system and completely happy with everything else.
The main reason I selected this exact model was because of the inbuilt AMD FreeSync. We have a lounge gaming PC and this takes the experience to a whole new level. Matched frame rates and 4K gaming makes gaming truely immersive.
