The worst lender ever!! Do not in any way borrow from these people. In the last 10 years they have taken $152,000 in interest on a $220,000 loan. We have only paid off $28,000 of the principal. Why?? Because it’s a superfund loan and they can!!! It’s disgusting. I’m now selling the property!!
Pretty average, high interest rates , high monthly fees but I knew that from the start . Wait until you are discharging your loans . The absolute bad attitude, rude staff that you deal with . Worst bank – Have 2 investment loans at more than 8% interest rate. Difficult to navigate account overdue and staff they do not know the software Liberty is using it became more stressful. Transaction takes 2-3 business days to process it’s not worth paying high interest rate and delay in processing. Would not recommend Liberty finance biggest mistake ever by mortgage broker

A terrible decision for serious investors and they don't adhere to their own policies – I am a professional investor. for 250k on 1.2M purchase and had outstanding serviceability and Liberty could not help. Working with Liberty cost me in excess of 10K and we did not secure the contract due to their negligence. Do not work with Liberty, they have extremely poor ethics.

Horrible company to deal with – I've had a horrible experience with this firm. We have had our commercial loan with them for almost 3 years. I can't access statements online, when i ask for them they don't send them. Now we are trying to refinance with another firm they keep messing me around with the settlement date. Bait and Switch – Signed up for LIberty loan. Interest rate increased 50bps as soon as I signed. Rates have reduced 100bps by Reserve Bank. Liberty offers 10bps. Disappointing outcome. I had considered getting a new loan with Liberty but not after this experience.

Very poor at discharging loans – Liberty Financial were a bit better than others for the sign up process and the same as others during the life of the loan. The end of the loan is where their operation was unacceptable and led to the 1 start rating. I have two major issues with Liberty. The first is that it took 3 phone calls in 4 months after paying out the loan for them to… Read more
actually process the discharge. They lied in the first two phone calls and stated that they were processing it. The additional issue is that they mailed the discharge letter/statement and the certificate of title to the wrong address even though we updated to the correct mailing address. Imagine the legal expenses and grief if someone takes that certificate of title to the lands dept to register as their own! That certificate will go electronic in 6 months time so we're probably still at risk during that time. Hopefully, someone just put that original letter in the bin since it wasn't their name on the address.
In summary, good at the front end (as is everyone when they're setting up to take your money) and woeful at the back end with discharge and completely careless with the mailing address.
