Poor quality construction and extremely poor customer service from Logitech – At $250 this is an expensive product without quality and service to match. Internet searches will reveal that the soft plastic used tends over time to warp after a few months of usage. This leaves unsightly gaps between the Ipad and the rubber edge of the protective logitech screen cover. In my case the keyboard stopped connecting intermittently after about a year after purchase but this could be resolved by disconnecting the keyboard from the screen (they are affixed by a magnetic connector so this is not particularly onerous although it is irritating). 25 months after purchase though the keyboard stopped communicating with the ipad entirely unless the ipad was shutdown and restarted. A few days of doing this and the keyboard eventually would not connect under any circumstances. This experience is sadly very common with several of this type of Logitech keyboard and indicates a design flaw.

My experience with the retailer of the product was initially negative with the retailer insisting that the product comes with only a 12 month warranty. After some discussion though the retailer did accept that the Consumer Law in Australia does warrant a replacement which I obtained from them.

My experience with Logitech customer service was far less positive. They insisted that the product is only provided with a 12 month warranty and after an exchange of emails finally said that they "might be able to replace" it if I provided a lot of information and even then they could not guarantee that they would replace it. If they are suggesting that their customers need to budget $250 to $300 annually to have a functioning keyboard on an iPad they are perhaps in the wrong line of business.

Having bought several keyboards, mice and trackpads over the years from Logitech their lack of customer service means they have permanently lost me as a customer.
