Logitech G915

Avoid Logitech products. Do not buy this keyboard – Extremely disappointed. Will not be buying Logitech again. I have used Logitech peripherals ever since I have had a PC. I have always gotten the highest tier items they sell, speakers, mouse, keyboard and headset however the last 2 years has been terrible. I have had to replace the headset with a Corsair one as the one I had had endless connectivity issues for the whole time I had it. I wasn’t too upset about this at the time as I was happy to get a higher quality sounding set and was able to sell my old set to get some money back however after upgrading my keyboard to their G915 which was about $300 or more at the time of purchase, I had to have the first one replaced under warranty within 6 months as there was an issue with the RGB lighting. I was happy to get a replacement one albeit having to wait a while for it to be back in stock. I have had the replacement one 4 months past the warranty period and now the ‘R’ keycap won’t work. It needs to be pressed really hard to get it to initiate and then when it does it double presses or just doesn’t press at all. I was hoping that due to being such a loyal customer over the years and noting that this model clearly has issues that Logitech would do the right thing and give me a replacement. The best they could offer was a 30% discount which in itself is great however I am not very keen on the idea of getting a third faulty product in as many years. I will not be buying anything from Logitech again and I highly advise against anyone using them for their peripherals in the future.
A sleeper Keyboard – My first wireless keyboard and first Logitech keyboard, to put it simply this keyboard is worth every cent, low profile, decent weight with ease to pick it up and move it around. The feel of the clicky keys are phenomenal and the sound is very satisfying. Build quality is very premium with what seems to be a metal housing. Very thin and modern. This keyboard is a sleeper because on the surface it looks like any professional business style but under the hood it packs a ton of features, mine is used for everything from Web browsing, to social media and to gaming and it holds up, battery life is extremely generous and also the wireless technology is next level, no drop outs so far!
Purchased in at Amazon for $223.
Totally disinterested in fixing problems, even in an item under warranty – Simple problem. The light under one of the keycaps on my G915 keyboard failed. So I went to logitech's website "support". Big mistake. First I had to do time-consuming and totally irrelevant "troubleshooting". Then I had to put in the serial number. Then I had to send them the invoice. Then my phone number. By this time I'd been on the phone for more than half an hour, including long pauses where I assume he went out to have a coffee or a smoke. And they demanded that I type in all my details all over again, which was already on the invoice I'd just sent them!
Their obvious tactic is to wear people down by making it so difficult to report a problem that they give up, which I did.
Maybe I'll try Amazon, who sold it to me. They've been good in the past with returns.
Purchased in for $250.
Fantastic keyboard – I bought the quiet mechanical model and really enjoy typing on this device. I purchased this mid last year when the COVID outbreak was causing Australia to panic and start working from home. My regular keyboard of over 10 years was starting to show its age and was getting mighty difficult to type for long hours at a time. I jumped online and ordered as a click and collect from my local Harvey Norman store, as this was pretty much the ONLY keyboard model remaining, probably due to the cost I'd say. That said, I don't mind paying extra for products if they are going to last.
What I like: * Solid metal base construction. You can put it down and it doesn't slip when typing. * Easy to clean. Just dust or blow compressed air on the thing to get rid of yuck. * Illuminated keys, you can customize with the software to whatever you want! There's an online repository of extra themes if you wish to play. * Soft and accurate depression of the keys. * Wireless mode is extremely lagfree. You can even pair your iPad/Tablet to the bluetooth and press one button to switch between devices easily. * Battery lasts about 3 days of SOLID use with the LED's always on. * Volume roller is much better than button pressing. You can scroll the volume up or down very fast. * Charge and use at the same time. Or just leave the USB in. I tend to charge one day, go wireless for a few.
What I don't like: * The corners on the metal base are very sharp. You only hit them once or twice before you learn. * The G-Hub software is a bit .... meh. It's can be slow at times. * Price! $369 for a keyboard! Seriously never thought I'd spend that much on a keyboard! * Macro/Memory keys. Although i can see the use, you cannot save them to the keyboard. So, if you recorded a macro, you can't just take it and use on your laptop without the GHub software and doing the macro again.
Despite the few negatives, this is a really good keyboard. If you can spare the cash, then yes, you should not hesitate to buy this keyboard. I love the feel and speed of this keyboard.
Purchased in at Harvey Norman for $369.
4 years later: i use this DAILY, as i work from home full-time. The keyboard lasts about 2 weeks on battery still, and i give it a monthly wipe over and quick gentle vacuum. Turn the switch off so you dont type random junk on the screen.
Even though very pricey, i love the speed i can type on this thing. Still not a fan of the upper row layout, hopefully i can buy replacement caps for that row one day.
Best Keyboard I've ever owned – Sturdy and heavy blue brushed aluminium one piece frame, love it's ability to switch quickly between 3 different devices with just a button. Got it for low profile brown switches. Keys are hard to clean and the "premium" volume rocker bar has always been sticky in its movement. Overpriced but worth it

Still works fine, no missing keys or LED's. The longer I use it, the more I dislike their decision to not illuminate the shifted top row numbers as well as being UNDER the numbers, looks weird.
Still, enables me to type fast, i work from home so this keyboard cops a hammering for about 16 hours per day.
