great keyboard until the charging port breaks – i did buy a 2nd one after the charging port broke and now the 2nd one has done the same, so have switched keyboards. I did like the keypad touch resistance and key luminosity. It also made me buy a soldering iron

Not So Robust – We use these at work and they work fine on our android tablets. The problem we are having is the Micro-USB charging port is not strong enough. They get moved around a bit and the cable is usually plugged in- not far down the track the charging gets intermittent and then shortly after the whole port breaks off and the charging stops altogether, turning them into e-waste.

I pulled one apart to see if I could fix it. It wasn't easy to open, and pulling on the ribbon cable retaining clip inside (with my fingernail) broke it. The charging port is absolutely a weak design- a small metal frame held to the board with two surface solder joints and no support from the keyboard's plastic housing around it. I remember when the frame used to go through the board and was soldered onto both sides- those were the days. The leverage on this port from the large cable plug is not catered for in this design. So from now on I wont use and charge them at the same time, and will be very careful when plugging/unplugging the cable
