Absolutely terrible! – Purchased product- worked well then stopped for no reason. Sent to service centre and they contacted me and advised that they could not fix . I had it six months. This was a manufacturing fault they were abusive. A Scottish man at the centre displayed terrible behaviour and very unhelpful, did not replace or fix product and sent it back at my expense. Do not trust this product! Do not waste your money! Everything

Magellan 710 stay away from one – I bought a 710 on the recommendation of a sales rep at Anaconda when I had gone out to buy a car GPS being advised it was suitable for car use and had world wide maps. As I was about to visit Japan this seemed ideal. The world maps are so limited as to be useless and on returning to Australia the in car use was useless as it is too small and dim. The sound did not work and was returned for repair. Later I found the barometer was not working nor would the NZ maps supplied.

I contacted the help number and had to describe the issue with the barometer four times before the woman with an American accent could understand and then she told me the the NZ maps were not supported despite being advertised, I returned the unit the following day (after two months trying to get it to work) and after subdued kicking and screaming got a refund. The altitude can be taken from the GPS Essentially non functional as a serious navigation tool, lots of gimics like Points of Interest including grave sites the nearest being a thousand kilometers away and then unnamed, the use being?
