“Works better than expected!”
High praise from the family cynic… Purchased on demise of an ancient mixer, the Cook Expert has been used successfully for bread (a first), stir frying, bolognaise sauce, soups, and caramelised onions whose smell is still on the seal. It is easy to use and clean, and easy enough to work out timing for our own recipes, though larger quantities need more movement, heat and time than the cookbook recipes use.
Overall, we’re very happy with the machine, the food it produces, and the extra time we have to do something else while dinner is cooking. And I haven’t yet made a cake, which was the original reason for getting it…

Love it
Having used the magimix food processor for over 30 yrs I really wanted to stay with magimix even though my 2 daughters and d in law all have thermomix. LOL the reason I was interested was years ago I went to a thermo demo that a cousin of mine was doing and I tasted strawberry sorbet and fell in love. However I could not justify the money for a sorbet. I loved the idea of milling my own flour back then but am now coeliac so cant use the wheat anyway, still a little sad I cant fine mill but as i said ,can't use wheat now anyway. (That would be
... Read moremy only negative) Back to now ...my old processor is starting to crack and while very usable I was excited about having a new processor and the expert cook all in one and yes the slicer grater which i didn't use hardly ever, the new one is so quick. not saying my old one wasn't but it was never handy on my bench so I didn't use it. I'm very happy with my new gear and while when setting it up ended up reading french or in my case not reading it I was able to resolve that problem. I've found it easy to use. And my daughters are impressed with the size of the bowls.Author stated being incentivised for this review
I love this machine. I knew I would, but seriously it's better than I expected
I knew I wanted a "Multi Cooker". And I considered multiple for quite some time. Ultimately, I picked Magimix for multiple reasons, including price, warranty, availability, and so on. I didn't want someone coming to my home to show me how to use it - I know how to cook and like to experiment. That, along with all the supplied recipes and YouTube videos, means I felt well and truly prepared. And I was correct.
I'm impressed with the quality and the provided accessories. My biggest problem right now (literally) is getting rid of all the kitchen
... Read more machines I no longer need. The thing that probably surprised and impressed me most of all is how well it cleans itself. I cook rolled oats (porridge) with milk every morning, almost without fail, and normally it takes longer to clean up than to do the actual cooking. Not with this machine! A quick scrape with the provided spatula, a good clean with the inbuilt "Rinsing Program", and a sensible wipe with a paper towel or something similar, and it's ready for the next job. Seriously incredible. We now use this for two or three meals every single day! If you're busy like me but still appreciate home-cooked meals and the benefits (financial and health) that using fresh ingredients and cooking it yourself provides, then I genuinely suggest this Magimix Cook Expert will be a blessing to your cooking life. So far, I haven't been able to fault the machine - it does everything I expected and more. It's fast, easy to use, and for me, the most important thing, easy to clean!Author stated being incentivised for this review
Magimix Cook Expert Surpasses Expectations
I am super pleased with my Cook Expert. I am using the appliance about 4 times a week and it cooks evenly, so easy and fast to whip up a quick curry or Stir Fry. I prep veggies at the beginning of my week which enables me to put the appliance to work quickly for each meal.. no mess, everything is contained within bowl and no need to use countless utensils during cooking. Clean up is a breeze.

Quick and easy creative cooking ideas!
The Magimix recipes and machine eliminates the stress of deciding what to cook each night. My family is able to select a recipe and enjoy a variety of meals throughout the week. Most recipes work well but some require more cooking time so it’s important to read some of the reviews for each recipe on the Magimix App.

So easy to live with.
My Magimix Cook Expert has replaced three machines! (I passed on my old Magimix to a friend -still going strong after 18 years.) As a retired professional chef, I appreciate its strength (parsley chopped so finely, fabulous pastry). I also like that I can control the machine myself or go with the "programme" if I want to.

Absolutely love my new Magimix Cook Expert!
I am absolutely thrilled with my Magimix Cook Expert. I waited some time before purchasing this, as I was undecided about the purchase price. Now I have gotten this home and I'm using it (for nearly everything), I wish I'd gotten this bench top marvel earlier.
It does need it's own space on the bench as it's a bit heavy to be moving from a cupboard. It also comes with a small steamer insert, but I purchased the XXL steamer to be able to do a full meal... as well as puddings and a novel cheesecake done in a smallish cake tin.
It really does replace so many kitchen appliances. Perfect for a small apartment.

Cooking is fun with the Magi Mix.
I am very happy with my Magimix Cook Expert. Setting up was easy because the instructions and photos were clear. The recipe book was appealing with a wide variety of food choices to cover meal times. The App also offers a greater range of recipes to choose from.
Any nervousness I was feeling about trying my first meal was dispelled after watching the YouTube videos. My pumpkin soup was smooth and delicious. Clean-up is a breeze. The Magimix Cook Expert is permanently on my benchtop. The food processor is in a cupboard within easy reach.
The process from purchase to delivery was hassle free and quick. Thank you Magimix.

Great product and customer service
We’ve had our cook expert for 3 weeks and we’ve used it for lots of different dinners and making bread. We had an issue with the food processor on first use and customer service was very responsive - we had a replacement bowl and blade delivered within days.

Questions & Answers
Is this machine able to make good rolled oat porridge? (I’ve tried it in a rice cooker, but it burns on the bottom because they seem to turn creamy and heavy and then settle on the bottom where it gets burned) Thank you!
Hi Grant . Put 40 grams rolled Oats and 200ml of milk of your choice, (I use Light Milk) in the Magimix bowl. Run on EXPERT - TIME 5mins, SPEED 2A, TEMP 85°C. Done & Yummy. Annie

Details
The Magimix Cook Expert is a premium all-in-one kitchen appliance. But with three consecutive award wins under its belt, its high price is thankfully matched by its high performance.
A few advantages over the Thermomix TM6
On paper, there are a few benefits of investing in a Magimix compared to shelling the cash on a TM6.
The Magimix has a maximum heating efficiency of 1, 700 watts, which includes a 900W regular motor and a 800W induction heating motor. This is compared to the Thermomix TM6, which comes just slightly under with a maximum heating efficiency of 1, 000 watts.
The Thermomix’s maximum bowl capacity is 2.2 litres - and the only standard bowl included is just a single bowl.
The Magimix, on the other hand, comes standard with a 3.5L capacity stainless steel metal bowl, as well 3 transparent multifunction bowls. Each of these extra bowls gradually increase in size, starting from 1.2-litres, to 2.6 litres, and finishing at 3.6 litres.
Other Standard Inclusions
Other standard accessories provided with the Magimix include a steamer basket, mini blade, egg whisk, 2 and 4-mm slicer, grater, universal blade, metal blade, spatula, kitchen scales, a recipe book with over 300 recipes, and a free Cook Expert app.
12 auto programs
The Magimix is designed with 12 auto programs, whereas the Thermomix has 20 cooking functions and 14 pre-set modes.
Here are the offerings from the Magimix Cook Expert: Cook (pureed soup, creamed soup, simmer, steam); bake (pastry/cake, bread/brioche, whisk); blender (smoothie, frozen dessert, crush); food processor and an automatic rinsing function.
Points of Praise
- The extensive range of cooking functions available with the Magimix was widely praised by reviewers. The food processor was a particular favourite amongst home chefs.
- Food made using the Magimix is often described as being delicious
- The Magimix is built sturdily, with an outstanding build quality.
- This appliance was described by reviewers as conveniently easy to clean, thanks to the inclusion of dishwasher-safe parts.
Points to Consider
Since the Magimix features such a diverse range of functions, several reviewers expressed that learning how to use the appliance in its entirety would take a long time. However, many reviewers who had the patience and passion for cooking didn’t find this to be a problem at all.
This year, the Magimix Cook Expert has won a ProductReview.com.au Award in the All-in-One Kitchen Appliances category! Above all else, reviewers loved how easy it was to use and clean.
