useful. I think it's nice knowing it heats breastmilk safely so no risk of losing nutrients etc.

Following the instructions doesn't work! – I bought this warmer because of the fact that it had all the different settings so you could even bottles from frozen, and it would then keep them at the correct temperature for 20 minutes...wrong. Medela but they did nothing about it and the replacement was the same so I ended up asking for a refund. A few times I rejigged the amount of water and also put the settings up higher which worked, but this is a very hit and miss way of doing it and also doesn't seem safe to go against the instructions they give you! Not when it comes to breast milk. I would not recommend or buy this again. Can heat from frozen (supposedly-but not in reality) Didn't work at all. Milk was always cold or still frozen which is obvisouly completely useless

get the milk at perfect temperature every time. When heating up 130 mls of breast milk we use more water than suggested and set the warmer to warm up more milk than we have actually put in (it has 5 different volume settings that you can program it to warm up depending on how much milk you have in the bottle). It takes 8 minutes exactly to warm up, which does seem a long time when you have a crying and hungry baby but the other method we were using of heating up the kettle and warming the milk in boiling water takes 6 minutes from the start of turning the kettle on and at least with the bottle warmer I am not handling boiling water while holding my baby. And because the bottle warmer keeps the milk at the right temperature for 20 minutes we can start it up early if we know she is just about to wake or we want to feed her early. easier and safer than using boiling water. the instructions were useless
