Great console with some gaping holes
The Xbox Series X is a phenomenal and powerful console. Capable of playing games in high resolutions and frame rates, but all of that power and there isn't anything to really show for it (yet).
Since the Series X launched, there has been a gaping hole of exclusive game releases. I understand that the Playstation 5 has experienced similar issues, but there is an entire iconic range of exclusive games for the Playstation. It feels like in some respects that I have purchased an expensive paperweight. It's not useless, but there is a severe lack o...
Read moref games. I have GamePass and it's great to get access to day one releases and a back catalogue of games, but most of the games on the Xbox besides Forza you've played before on other consoles. You can only play so much GTA and Forza before you get bored. When games such as Starfield launch and other anticipated releases in 2023, things will hopefully improve. Right now, the Xbox however powerful feels like I've purchased an early access product.Purchased in at EB Games Physical Store for $749.

Console broke down within 2 weeks
My console couldn’t turn on just within 2 weeks of purchasing Xbox via Telstra plan, after talking to MS technical team, they are asking me to send it back for repair to Microsoft now, so much for a quality product.

You can hear it. Instant on is amazing. My boss are spoilt as they never have to wait for anything unlike previous xboxs. Battery I'm termites last a long time. Huge storage, you'll need it. Looks amazing in game and great sound. I can't fault it. Online is great with xlive

Fantastic console
I have been a dedicated Playstation player for a very long time, i did love the original Xbox, but the 360 and xbox one never bothered as was dedicated Playstation 1 3 4 player
Well Xbox series x is out and wow am impressed, The console itself is very compact, very quiet, the way it resumes games is fantastic and wow a storage expansion slot. I do think Xbox Series X is a majorly better console this time round and I have both and prefer the series X to game on. Game pass is brilliant and the controllers you can operate without batteries if yo...
Read moreu have a dedicated powered USB port near you - majorly better than battery. Now, every game that comes on game pass i play, if i get a game on disc i will get it on series x rather than the ps5 if the game is on both consoles. To say compact its half the size of a ps5 consolePurchased in at The Good Guys for $749.

Amazing console with just a couple issues
I got my series x on launch day from pre order and let me tell you the packaging on the console is truly upperclass, it’s also reassuring to know your console is truly secured with how durable the packaging is. Runs games really well load up is super fast graphics are mind blowing but... crashing.
Purchased in at Microsoft for $750.

Microsoft have excelled themselves
After many years of playing console games on PS4/PS4 Pro, I decided it was time to have a look at the new Xbox Series X, as opposed to Sony’s PS5.
After looking at the design, I was sold. A monolith! It is a rectangular block, with vents on top. This helps dissipate the heat, well, heat rises. In standard black, it is an almost imposing console.
Setup was simple. Every cable you might need, supplied. Even a seriously high quality HDMI cable to take advantage of more expensive TV’s that support really fast HDMI speeds.
Impressed the button to...
Read more start and was guided, step by step to connect the controller, setup the account and setup the Xbox Series X to the TV it was connected to. OK, I use wired (ethernet) to connect my consoles, it just provides a more stable internet connection. The Xbox Series X does support WI-FI, I have heard both good and bad, so I won’t provide an opinion, as I have not tried it.Related Articles
